Surely, car enthusiasts in Vietnam still remember the story of the Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 owned by a wealthy individual from Hai Phong who embarked on a cross-country adventure from the South to the North, through China and even to Mongolia, spanning a duration of 3 months. This off-road supercar conquered various terrains, from deserts to snowy roads, mountains, and even water crossings. Estimated to have covered approximately 35,000 km on this journey, the Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 was truly put to the test.
It is known that in order to be able to legally drive on the road for this cross-country adventure, the owner randomly obtained a license plate for the Porsche 911 Dakar 2023, after being unable to secure the desired date of birth license plate.
After completing the journey, the wealthy individual from Hai Phong continued his search for the desired license plate. On December 22, 2023, a license plate that matched his desires, 51L-199.11, was put up for auction. As a result, he participated in the auction for this license plate and successfully secured it for the base price of 40 million VND.
