On June 20th, the Vehicle Registration Bureau issued a recall notice for 19 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon vehicles in Vietnam to inspect and remove surplus frame pins.
In particular, a total of 19 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon vehicles from 2020-2022 that were produced from March 2021 to October 2021 need to be recalled for inspection of the above-mentioned details.
According to the explanation, the excess pins on the frame of the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon vehicles can come into contact with the fuel tank and cause scratches. In some cases, this can lead to fuel leakage and if it comes into contact with an ignition source, there is a risk of fire and explosion.
To fix the above-mentioned problem, affected Jeep Wrangler owners need to bring their vehicles to an authorized dealer of JVA Trading Co., Ltd – the official importer and distributor of Jeep vehicles in Vietnam – for free inspection and repair.
The estimated time of completion for each vehicle is approximately 30 minutes. According to the announcement, the recall period for the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon in Vietnam started on June 15th and is expected to last until April 12th, 2024.

In the same recall notice, JVA warns owners to turn off the engine and contact the company immediately if they notice any fuel leakage.
During the waiting time for inspection and resolution, JVA also recommends owners of the affected Wrangler Rubicon models to limit their use in order to ensure safety.
If they have to use the vehicles, the above-mentioned Jeep Wrangler owners are advised to thoroughly check before operating to ensure that there are no signs of fuel leakage, and continuously monitor the dashboard indicators of the vehicles and contact JVA for assistance when needed.
In Vietnam, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon has a listed price of 3,888 billion dong and competes directly with the Land Rover Defender 90.
