Will the Geely MPV LEVC L380 roll out of the assembly line in China and make its way to Vietnam?

LEVC is the London electric vehicle company that is the successor to the famous London taxi company in the UK founded in 1919. The UK taxi manufacturer was acquired by Geely Group in 2012 and focuses on producing BEV and EREV vehicles.

By December 2023, LEVC vehicles accounted for over 50% of all licensed taxis in London. The LEVC lineup currently consists of a single model called the TX. Soon, the LEVC L380 minivan will join the lineup of the British brand.

The versatile electric Mini People Mover (MPV) LEVC L380 by Geely Group has begun mass production in China. It is a large premium minivan with up to 8 seats, a 200 kW electric motor, and a range of up to 675 km. The L380 is aimed at the international market.

Mass production of the LEVC L380 has started in Zhejiang at the LEVC New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd factory. The factory also produces the LEVC TX. At a recent partner business conference, LEVC displayed the first mass-produced LEVC L380 with an A380 plane drawing on the rear. LEVC did not disclose any further information about the event.

As we can see, the first mass-produced LEVC L380 has the steering wheel on the left-hand side. Therefore, this minivan may not arrive in the UK anytime soon. However, LEVC has announced that their MPV is aimed at the international market. The first mass-produced LEVC L380 is finished in white. However, the brand representative has shared some official images of this minivan in green.

The LEVC L380 is a large-size small van based on the SOA commercial vehicle architecture originated from Geely’s SEA platform. It measures 316/1998/1940 mm in dimension, with a wheelbase of 3185 mm. Inside, the L380 offers up to 8 seats with a 2+2+2+2 seating arrangement.

The LEVC L380 has two drivetrain options, a 200 kW electric motor, a top speed of 170 km/h, a 3-phase 100 kWh NMC battery, and a range of 570 km. The second option is a 200 kW electric motor, a top speed of 170 km/h, a 116 kWh ternary NMC battery, and a range of 675 km. The pricing for the LEVC L380 has not been announced yet.
