When present in Vietnam, the Hongqi HS5 will be a competitor to the Hyundai Santa Fe.

According to research, Hongqi HS5 has now arrived in Vietnam and is being advertised by sales consultants with the promise of immediate delivery before the Lunar New Year. The car is currently available in 3 exterior colors: white, black, and moon silver. It is unclear how much Hongqi HS5 will be sold for in Vietnam, but there are speculations that the price will be around 800 million dong.

The new generation of Hongqi HS5 was launched at the Shanghai Auto Show 2023 held in April 2023. However, the car that has just appeared in Vietnam is not the latest version. Instead, Hongqi has brought an older model to our country, which was first introduced in 2019.

The first generation of Hongqi HS5 has dimensions of 4,760 x 1,907 x 1,700 mm for length, width, and height, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,870mm.

Like other Hongqi models, HS5 features a waterfall-style front grille. The position lights are connected to the radiator grille, creating a cohesive overall look. Meanwhile, the headlights are divided into two layers and placed below, near the front bumper area. Although it is an older version, the car still has many premium exterior features such as automatic LED lighting system, 20-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin tires, and various chrome details around the car. The rear of the car stands out with the LED taillights connected by a chrome strip in the middle.

Entering the cabin, Hongqi HS5 greets users with a simple and neat space that still exudes modernity. The seats are upholstered in contrasting leather and suede, matching the dashboard and steering wheel color. In front of the driver is a three-spoke steering wheel with integrated function buttons, a digital instrument cluster connected to the central touch screen, and a head-up display that is similar to Mercedes-Benz’s MBUX system. Next is the Bose audio system, dual-zone automatic air conditioning with rear air vents, and electronic parking brake. Panoramic sunroof.

The new Hongqi HS5 that has arrived in Vietnam is likely powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo gasoline engine, generating a maximum power of 221 horsepower, accompanied by a 6-speed automatic transmission.
