Honda has just announced information about the maximum range of its first pure electric SUV, Prologue, which will reach the best level in the segment of 476 km (according to EPA evaluation standards). The starting price for the 2024 Honda Prologue EV is from $48,795 (including a $1,395 shipping fee).

In fact, the Prologue EX base model has the widest operating range in the product line. This is achieved thanks to the vehicle being equipped with a front-wheel drive system, an electric motor with a maximum output of 212 horsepower and a peak torque of 320 Nm.

The Prologue EX is also equipped with 19-inch aluminum wheels, pre-installed Google applications, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, wireless phone charging, 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

The all-wheel drive system, dual electric motors increase power but sacrifice operating range. Specifically, this drivetrain provides a maximum output of 288 horsepower and a peak torque of 451 Nm. Available on both the EX and Touring versions, it will add an additional $3,000 to the price of the Prologue, with an impressive driving range of 452 km.

The range-topping Elite version is only available with dual electric motor AWD drivetrain, with an operating range of 439 km, and a starting price of $59,295.

So compared to the Chevrolet Blazer EV, which has many similarities, the 2024 Honda Prologue EV is much cheaper, with a starting price of $56,715 for the Blazer EV.

Honda stated that the 2024 Prologue will be available at its dealerships in the US this spring.
