Peugeot 408 makes its stunning debut in Vietnam, showcasing captivating design and powerful 218 horsepower.

Today, Peugeot and Thaco proudly present the all-new Peugeot 408 to the Vietnamese market. This remarkable vehicle represents the first model in Peugeot’s new generation of products in Vietnam.

The all-new Peugeot 408 boasts impressive dimensions both inside and out, featuring a ground clearance of 189mm for exceptional off-road capability.

Its captivating SUV Coupe design merges the dynamic sportiness of an SUV with the elegance of a traditional sedan, culminating in a distinct coupe-style rear end. This design exemplifies Peugeot’s latest aesthetic identity, highlighted by the prominent logo and borderless grille, creating an impression of infinite possibilities. The characteristic lion fang-shaped LED headlights with three claws add to the vehicle’s allure. Additionally, the new and unique Obsession Blue color changes hue based on light and angle.

The interior of the all-new Peugeot 408 exudes luxury and sophistication as it showcases the Peugeot New i-cockpit design language, evoking emotion through its Listen – Look – Touch operations.

This model stands out with its wide field of vision, intuitive 3D display, futuristic flat-center control area, compact and flexible steering wheel, driver-facing touch display screen with two scientifically arranged screens for easy access and operation, dual-zone automatic air conditioning system with air quality control, and high-end Focal hi-fi premium sound system offering an authentic and immersive audio experience.

Thanks to its generous dimensions, including an overall length of 4,687 mm and a wheelbase of 2,787 mm, the all-new Peugeot 408 provides a spacious interior. The front seats, designed in the style of high-performance cars, offer a comfortable and dynamic seating position. The luggage compartment boasts a large capacity of up to 536L, which can be tripled when the rear seats are folded down.

The Peugeot 408 is developed on a new generation of robust platform, incorporating new specialized materials in critical areas to reduce weight, enhance sound insulation, and provide stability to meet high-performance operation requirements.

Notably, the Vietnamese version of the Peugeot 408 is equipped with the new generation 1.6 Turbo Puretech engine, generating a powerful output of 218 horsepower and a torque of up to 300Nm. It is coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering a thrilling driving experience with optimized torque transmission from the engine to the active wheels. The simplified lever transmission further enhances operational efficiency, allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.8 seconds.

In addition to the standard and enhanced safety features found in existing Peugeot models in Vietnam, the all-new Peugeot 408 introduces advanced intelligent features that are making their debut in Peugeot models, including:

Matrix LED Lighting Technology: Featuring automatic light zoning based on traffic conditions, ensuring optimal lighting without obstruction or glare for other vehicles.

Lane Keeping Assist: The system intervenes in the steering to ensure the vehicle remains within the lane.

Lane Positioning Assist: This system aids in positioning the vehicle in the center of the lane during travel.

Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go: Combining adaptive cruise control (which maintains the set speed of the vehicle while adjusting the speed to maintain a safe distance from the preceding vehicle) and stop & go function (automatically stopping and restarting the vehicle).

Rear Cross Traffic Alert: The system provides warnings when vehicles or pedestrians are within the radar detection range, ensuring safe maneuvering.

Semi-Automated Lane Change: When the driver activates the turn signal, the system evaluates the surrounding traffic conditions and suggests lane changes. The driver can initiate the lane change by pressing the “OK” button on the steering wheel, and the vehicle will automatically change lanes smoothly and safely.

Active Safety Brake: This feature intervenes to prevent potential collisions, ensuring the safety of occupants and other vehicles during travel.

Additionally, the semi-automated lane change assistance feature is exclusively available on models equipped with the most advanced control assistance systems.

In the Vietnamese market, the all-new Peugeot 408 is available in three versions: Allure, Premium, and GT.

The Allure version offers numerous high-end amenities, including LED headlights with automatic high beam control, 18-inch wheels, leather seats, digital clock, a 10-inch central screen, and a comprehensive safety package encompassing active safety brake support, lane keeping assist, and traffic sign recognition.

The Premium version further elevates the driving experience with an enhanced safety package that includes lane change assist, adaptive cruise control with stop & go, lane positioning assist, and active safety brake support with radar and camera, among others.

The highest GT version boasts exceptional features such as matrix LED headlights, 20-inch wheels, dual central screens, front seats with nappa leather material and integrated massage function, a 360-degree camera system, and more.

All versions come in five color options, including Sensation Red, Nera Black, White Pearl, Platinum Gray, and the captivating new Obsession Blue.
