North American automotive website NYMammoth has created a design rendering of the upcoming Hyundai Tucson Facelift based on leaked images and prototype shots. While Hyundai’s recent product upgrades have typically brought significant improvements, this time the Korean automaker has taken a more conservative approach, implementing small changes to the Tucson Facelift.

The front of the car will feature a bold grille similar to that found on the Santa Cruz model, while the headlight cluster and front bumper have been redesigned to give a sportier look. At the rear, a new rear bumper and updated taillights are expected, with many hoping that Hyundai will remove the fang-like taillight arrangement seen on the current version.

Inside the cabin, the upgraded Tucson is expected to have similar equipment and features to the current model, with the addition of new decorative highlights and upholstery materials. The current Tucson already boasts a range of premium features, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, over 60 connectivity features, ventilated and heated seats, a panoramic sunroof, a premium Bose audio system, wireless phone charging, and Hyundai SmartSense with level 2 ADAS.

Powertrain options for the Tucson Facelift will vary depending on the market. It’s difficult to predict any changes in powertrain options for the facelifted version, although minor adjustments may be made to improve engine efficiency and potentially upgrade the battery to increase the electric range for the plug-in hybrid variant.
