Introduced in September 2020, the Korean automaker is now preparing to release an upgraded version of the Hyundai Tucson for the current generation. While previous upgrades from Hyundai have brought substantial changes, this time they seem to be taking a more cautious approach with only minor design changes for the Hyundai Tucson Facelift.
From the prototype test photos, it can be seen that the car will feature a bold front grille, similar to the one on the Santa Cruz model. The headlight cluster and front bumper have also been redesigned, giving the car a more sporty appearance.
Moving to the rear, we can expect a redesigned rear bumper and updated taillights. Many people are hoping that Hyundai will remove the fang-style taillight arrangement seen in the current version.
However, the interior of the Hyundai Tucson Facelift will receive notable upgrades, following the style of the new Santa Fe. We can expect the next generation Santa Fe to have a modern panoramic curved display system as well as the latest safety features and technologies.
Depending on the market, the Hyundai Tucson will be offered with different engine options. Experts believe that there will be minimal changes in the transmission options, except for minor adjustments to improve engine efficiency. There is also a possibility of upgrading the battery pack to increase the electric operating range for the PHEV variant.
The exact launch date for the Hyundai Tucson Facelift is still uncertain, but it is expected to be around the summer of 2024 in Korea.
