Recently, the paparazzi has caught a glimpse of the test prototype of the Nissan Rogue Facelift during a test run. Although the changes to the exterior may appear minor, Nissan has made significant improvements to the SUV’s interior, particularly the infotainment system.
Highlighted by the photos of the exposed dashboard, it is clear that the car will feature a new, larger center touch screen. This screen seems to be bigger than the 8-inch screen found in the US-spec Rogue model and resembles the 12.3-inch screen found in the premium X-Trail version currently available in Europe, Japan, and Australia. The control buttons located below the new screen of the Nissan Rogue Facelift also bear a striking resemblance to those found in the European high-end X-Trail version.
On the other hand, the air conditioning controls, digital instrument cluster, and steering wheel seem to retain their original design.
In terms of design tweaks, the test prototype is mostly covered in camouflage in the front and rear sections, indicating that these areas will likely undergo changes. It is expected that Nissan will make adjustments to the LED graphics. Additionally, the front bumper seems to have been redesigned, with tweaks made to the air intakes under the headlights and the V-shaped grille. To enhance its overall appearance, the Japanese automaker may introduce new exterior paint colors and wheel designs.
Unfortunately, there is currently no leaked information regarding upgrades to the transmission system. The current version is equipped with a single traditional internal combustion engine, a 1.5L 3-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine that produces a maximum power of 201 horsepower and a peak torque of 305 Nm, paired with an Xtronic CVT gearbox.
