Restless nights for bikers await the official launch of the Kawasaki H2, a supercharged supersport motorcycle. The sad news came two years ago when Kawasaki announced the discontinuation of the H2R, a dominant force in the racing scene. The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer confirmed that production of the Kawasaki Ninja H2R would end in October 2020, with the last orders accepted from September 20 to October 21, 2020.
Recognizing the significance of bringing a superbike like the Kawasaki H2R to Vietnam, a local dealer took the initiative to import this extraordinary machine. Currently, the Kawasaki H2R is being exhibited in Hanoi. Although enthusiasts are captivated by its track-only status and the expensive price tag that comes with it, the bike cannot be registered or ridden on public roads in Vietnam.
The Kawasaki H2R, as the flagship model in the motorcycle lineup, does not come equipped with a headlight to reduce weight. For racing purposes, motorcycles are not required to have headlights like street-legal models. Similarly, the H2R also does not feature a rearview mirror.
The absence of a headlight and rearview mirror gives the Kawasaki H2R a more aggressive appearance compared to the numerous Kawasaki H2 models spotted on the streets of Vietnam. The H2R features high-quality materials and showcases carbon fiber on its front section.
The front end of the Kawasaki H2R boasts an intimidating design that replaces the traditional rearview mirror with a sharp carbon fiber plate, adding a touch of deception on the racetrack. Furthermore, the H2R ditches the typical round headlights found on the standard version, giving it a truly aggressive stance.
Situated between the front mudguard and the bike’s front end are two elegant wind-splitting bars. The Kawasaki H2R features a modified fairing to optimize aerodynamics. Its complete aluminum fuel tank, coated in black chrome, takes nearly 8 months to meticulously craft.
The Kawasaki Ninja H2R is equipped with a smart screen and wireless connectivity, allowing riders to utilize the Rideology The App on their smartphones. This application provides access to various bike functions, offering a more immersive riding experience.
To comprehend the high price tag associated with the Kawasaki Ninja H2R, we must delve into its 4-cylinder engine block with a displacement of 998cc. The bike’s supercharger generates an impressive maximum power of 310 horsepower at 14,000 rpm and a peak torque of 155 Nm at 12,500 rpm.
When the Kawasaki Ninja H2R is activated with Ram-air, the bike’s power output can reach an astonishing 326 horsepower, accompanied by a maximum torque of 165 Nm at 12,500 rpm. This immense power allows the track-only superbike to set a world record as the fastest motorcycle, accelerating from a standstill to 400 km/h in just 26 seconds on the Osman Gazi Bridge in Turkey. Super car manufacturers like Lamborghini or Ferrari have yet to achieve speeds above 400 km/h in their vehicles.
