Honda has unveiled its latest electric scooter concept, the Honda SCe, at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 exhibition. This concept model provides a glimpse into Honda’s upcoming electric vehicle.
The Honda SCe features a sleek and modern design, resembling a traditional scooter with a large front fairing. Many have drawn comparisons to the iconic Honda LEAD model from the Japanese brand.
The front of the scooter showcases an impressive headlight cluster, turn signals, and daytime running lights. These elements are seamlessly integrated, creating a unified and attractive front face for the scooter.
At the rear, the scooter boasts a gentle curve and a stylish taillight cluster. The SCe is also equipped with a flat and spacious footboard, as well as a comfortable single-tone leather saddle.
While the concept version does not include a screen, it is expected that the commercial version will feature an LCD screen that can connect to a smartphone.
In terms of performance, the Honda SCe is equipped with front telescopic forks and rear dual spring shock absorbers for a smooth ride. The scooter also ensures safety with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes.
As for the motor specifications, Honda has yet to disclose the details. However, it has been revealed that the scooter will come with two removable battery packs called the Mobile Power Pack. These batteries will be conveniently placed under the seat, while the electric motor will be mounted on the rear wheel. The Honda SCe will offer excellent mobility with its integrated batteries and flexible battery replacement capabilities.
The scooter is expected to be launched in 2024, coinciding with Honda’s plans to enter the electric motorcycle market in India.
