During a recent press conference in Japan, a high-ranking executive from Lexus disclosed that the luxury car brand is considering the development of a high-end pickup truck if there is substantial demand from customers.
If approved for production, the new Lexus pickup truck will be designed from scratch and will not be based on any existing Toyota models like the Hilux, Tacoma, or Tundra. In addition, it will be powered by an electric engine, departing from the conventional combustion engines found in most pickup trucks.

“If there is a strong demand from consumers for Lexus to enter the pickup truck market, we will consider it as a possibility for the future. We do not want to deny customers the opportunity to own a Lexus-branded pickup truck, however, it is important to note that we have not yet begun official discussions,” stated the Lexus head.
While awaiting further updates, enthusiasts can catch a glimpse of the possible design of the forthcoming luxury pickup truck from Lexus through the sketch provided by SRK Designs. The design sketch highlights Lexus’ iconic design elements, such as the prominent grille, eye-catching multi-spoke wheels, and muscular hood, resulting in a pickup truck that exudes both luxury and ruggedness.
