Kawasaki Thailand has recently unveiled the new Z400 naked street bike at the Thailand Motor Show 2018 in Bangkok. This exciting model made its debut at EICMA 2018, held in Milan, Italy just last month.
The 2019 Kawasaki Z400 is the latest addition to the “Z family” and is the naked version of the popular Ninja 400 model.
The Z400 takes design inspiration from Kawasaki’s Sugomi philosophy, which has shaped the brand’s stunning models like the Ninja H2 and Ninja 400.
The Kawasaki Z400 boasts a sporty design, featuring captivating headlights, a muscular fuel tank, a sturdy steel frame, and a sleek, high-swept tail with sharp lines.
The handlebar cluster of the Z400 houses all the necessary control buttons, including electric lock, start button, turn signals, headlight/high beam control, and horn. The compact instrument cluster provides all the essential information for riders.
The Z400 features a 41mm telescopic fork on the front and a rear mono-shock with adjustable preload. Its front and rear wheels are equipped with 310mm and 220mm disc brakes, respectively, and come with ABS as standard.
The Kawasaki Z400 weighs in at 167 kg, making it 1 kg lighter than the Ninja 400 and 3 kg lighter than its sibling, the Z300.
The heart of the 2019 Kawasaki Z400 is the same as that of the Ninja 400 – a liquid-cooled, 399cc parallel-twin cylinder engine. This powerhouse generates a maximum power of 45 hp at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 38 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch system, meeting Euro 4 emission standards.
Kawasaki has been on a roll, introducing successful models in various segments. The Kawasaki Z400 2019 is another impressive addition to the “Z” family, offering an enticing option in the mid-range segment. It will go head-to-head with rivals like the KTM 390 Duke and BMW G310R.
