The 2024 Kia Carnival, based on images from the Shorts Cars channel in South Korea, may have an updated design that draws inspiration from the EV9 concept. Despite the extensive camouflage, the upgraded Carnival is set to feature new vertically positioned LED headlights and horizontal LED daytime running lights.

One standout characteristic is the striking wheel design, which brings to mind concept car models.

The rear of the 2024 Kia Carnival remains heavily disguised, but the LED taillights with an inverted L-shaped graphic can be seen, marking a departure from the current version’s horizontal taillight design.

The new Carnival will showcase its strengths through features like automatic sliding doors, a panoramic sunroof, a spacious interior, an SUV-inspired design language, and advanced driver-assistance systems.

The engine options for the facelifted Kia Carnival are expected to remain the same as the current version, with South Korea offering a 3.5L gasoline engine and a 2.2L diesel engine.

However, there are rumors suggesting that the upgraded Carnival may also offer a hybrid option, possibly inherited from the Kia Sorento. The Sorento Hybrid currently boasts a combined power output of 227 horsepower, while the Sorento Plug-in Hybrid delivers 261 horsepower. Both models feature a turbocharged T-GDi 1.6-liter engine paired with an electric motor and batteries of varying capacities.

The 2024 Kia Carnival is slated for an official release in South Korea later this year, followed by other markets in early 2022.
