The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R 2023 made its debut in February of this year and quickly arrived in Southeast Asia, specifically in Indonesia, just over a month later. Prior to its launch in Indonesia, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R was also introduced at the Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) 2023 in Thailand.

In the Indonesian market, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is available in a single version, the ZX-4RR. This is the top-of-the-line version, equipped with luxurious features. As a result, it should come as no surprise that the bike comes with a hefty price tag of 239.9 million Rupiah (approximately 379 million VND), equivalent to the price of a Kia Morning in Vietnam.

In Thailand, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R comes in two versions, the Standard and Special Edition, priced at 320,000 Baht (221 million VND) and 360,000 Baht (248 million VND) respectively.

The standout feature of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is its engine. It is a sportbike powered by a 4-cylinder engine, making it the only 400cc motorcycle in the world with four cylinders. This sets it apart from its sibling, the Kawasaki Ninja 400, which uses a twin-cylinder engine.

The 4-cylinder engine of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is a straight-line, DOHC, liquid-cooled, EFI electronic fuel injection engine that produces a maximum power of 75 horsepower at 14,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 37.6 Nm at 12,500 rpm.

This engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a 15-liter fuel tank, all housed within a steel tube frame. Additionally, the bike features 4 riding modes: Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider. The Rider mode allows the rider to customize settings according to preferences.

The top-of-the-line version comes equipped with a range of features including a slipper clutch, electronic throttle, quick up/downshifting, LED headlights/taillights, tinted windscreen, a digital instrument panel with a 4.3-inch LCD screen, USB port, and smartphone connectivity.

Other notable features include the KTRC traction control system, adjustable BFRC-Lite front forks, and a horizontal rear shock absorber. The bike is equipped with 17-inch wheels, with a front tire size of 120/70 and a rear tire size of 160/60. It features dual 290mm front disc brakes and a single 220mm rear disc brake. The seat height is set at 800mm, making it suitable for Asian riders. The bike weighs 188 kg.
