Before the Covid-19 pandemic, Honda Vietnam specifically selected Malaysia as a destination to test the capabilities of the entire Honda Racing Vietnam team, in collaboration with the Yuzy Racing team riders.

Three riders, Cao Viet Nam, Nguyen Anh Tuan, and Nguyen Duc Thanh, had the opportunity to learn under the guidance of Yuzy Racing team captain, Shahrol Yuzy Ahmaad Zaini, in three different races at Sepang Circuit, Tangkak Circuit, and Melaka Circuit over three consecutive days. In addition to showcasing their skills with Underbone bikes, the Vietnamese team also tested their abilities with 250cc machines.

According to Shahrol Yuzy, the riders from Honda Racing Vietnam have great potential and can go far in the ARRC Championship context.

Here are Shahrol Yuzy’s comments on the three riders from Honda Racing Vietnam:

Cao Viet Nam # 65

“Cao Viet Nam is a talented and determined rider. He is also a very intelligent rider, able to adapt his riding style flexibly to the bike’s condition and the terrain of the racetrack. With a good bike, he can definitely win the race.”

Nguyen Anh Tuan #178

“Tuan is a rider who can quickly learn the track and the machine. He needs to accurately grasp the characteristics of the racetrack and its terrain. Once he does that, Tuan Anh will undoubtedly become a better rider.”

Nguyen Duc Thanh # 193

“Nguyen Duc Thanh is a smart and resourceful rider. Just like his two teammates, he quickly learns the racetracks and understands different types of bikes.

“However, he needs to show more enthusiasm and dedication to training and racing.

If he improves in these aspects, I am confident he will become a better rider.”

In addition, Shahrol Yuzy also praised the progress of the Honda Racing Vietnam team: “I honestly didn’t expect that within a few years, the Honda Vietnam team would have so many talented and promising riders. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw them on the racetrack on the first day of training. Their lap times were on par with our local riders. Overall, I think they are exceptional riders who just need to train more. I look forward to training and collaborating with the Honda Vietnam team again in the future.”

Talking about the upcoming Stage 3, “Crazy man” said: “Sugo is a new and challenging racetrack for riders, with constant changes in curves and continuous uphill and downhill sections. However, I have experience racing on tracks like this. The key is to find the best racing line as the track has different elevations, making it difficult to anticipate the next curve.” “My goal is to be in the top 10, but if the bike is stable, I may achieve even better results.”
