After completing the second leg at Sepang, the “fiery pot,” the racers’ rankings are as follows: In the AP250 category, racer Cao Viet Nam finishes in 10th place out of 24, and his teammate Nguyen Duc Thanh ranks 17th out of 24. In the UB150 category, racer Nguyen Anh Tuan is in the 19th position out of 26, followed by Nguyen Huu Tri.

With promising results from the past two races, the Honda Racing Vietnam team promises to deliver an even more explosive performance at the Sugo International Circuit in Japan from June 24 to June 25, 2023.

The Sugo Circuit covers a total area of 2.1 million square meters and is located in a mountainous region in the north of Honshu Island, in the Shibata district of Miyagi province, Japan. Built to FIA Grade 2 international standards, the circuit has a total length of 3,737.5m, a width of 10-12.5m, and the longest straight section measures 704.5m.

The lineup of the Honda Racing Vietnam team for the third leg of ARRC 2023 will continue to consist of four members as follows:

AP250 category – Cao Viet Nam, wearing number 65

During practice at the second leg, an unfortunate lubrication leak on the track caused the 2019 Thailand Talent Cup champion to crash at high speed, limiting his training and the available data for the technical staff to improve the performance of the race bike. Despite starting in 15th position at Sepang, racer Cao Viet Nam, with his extensive racing experience and smart tactics, managed to finish the second race day in 10th place overall.

AP250 category – Nguyen Duc Thanh, wearing number 193

Similar to Cao Viet Nam, racer Nguyen Duc Thanh also encountered an unfortunate incident during the practice session at Sepang due to oil on the track. With perseverance and determination, he managed to participate in the qualifying round, starting in 18th position. Throughout the two race days, he made efforts to catch up with the other racers and finished with a 17th position on the second race day. Hopefully, the Sugo Circuit will bring good luck to racer number 193, allowing him to showcase his abilities, skills, and racing spirit.

UB150 category – Nguyen Anh Tuan, wearing number 178

Nguyen Anh Tuan is an experienced racer in the UB150 category of the Honda Racing Vietnam team. At the fiery pot of Sepang, his talent and luck secured him a 9th place finish on the first race day, surpassing 12 positions from his starting position and earning the first 7 points of the season. On the second race day, he crossed the finish line in 19th place.

UB150 category – Nguyen Huu Tri, wearing number 111

This is the second international race for this young seed of the Honda Racing Vietnam team. The results of the 15-year-old racer have been improving throughout each leg, showcasing the effort and potential of Nguyen Huu Tri.
