Lynk & Co, introduced in 2016, is a car brand that caters to the new generation of consumers with an open mindset and urban lifestyle. With the slogan “More than a car,” Lynk & Co aims to provide users with unique experiences through innovative design, advanced technology, and cutting-edge features. The car brand has recently made its debut in the Vietnamese market with a contract signing for the import and distribution of Lynk & Co cars in August 2023.
In its initial phase, Lynk & Co will introduce its first models, including 01, 03, 05, and 09, to the Vietnamese market through complete import. Among these models, the Lynk & Co 03 is set to arrive in Vietnam soon, and Autodaily’s reporter had the opportunity to experience this car at a showroom in Hangzhou, China.
The Lynk & Co 03 is available in China with two engine options: a 1.5L turbocharged engine generating 180 horsepower and a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine producing 218 horsepower. The 03+ version features all-wheel drive and the sixth-generation BorgWarner system, which quickly responds to driver preferences and intelligently adapts to road conditions.
The front design of the Lynk & Co 03 features a sporty style, characterized by a gradually expanding front grille and bumper. The headlights are separated from the LED daytime running lights. At the rear, the car stands out with an extended strip of position lights connecting the taillights, dual exhaust pipes, sporty air vents, and a centrally placed brake light, reminiscent of racing cars.
The car is built on Geely’s Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) platform and incorporates Volvo’s advanced safety technology. Additionally, the Lynk & Co 03 TCR racing model combines the chassis system and original engine from the production model Lynk & Co 03, making a strong impression in the TCR World Tour 2023 event. Since 2019, Lynk & Co has been actively involved in racing, sponsoring Cyan Racing and participating in the WTCR World Touring Car Cup. To date, the team has won 5 world championships, including 3 team championships and 2 individual championships.
Inside, the Lynk & Co 03 features a simple yet sporty interior design, with suede accents, sports seats, and piano black and textured plastic elements.
Currently, it is uncertain which version of the Lynk & Co 03 will be introduced to the Vietnamese market in the near future.
