After one month of journey, the wealthy man from Hai Phong, who owns the first genuine Porsche 911 Dakar in Vietnam, continues to conquer the Gobi Desert in China.
This wealthy man, accompanied by his beloved Porsche 911 Dakar worth nearly 16 billion VND, has overcome various terrains, from deserts to snowy roads. He has driven through more than 600 corners in the Pamir Plateau (China) and even crossed water bodies.
Recently, the owner of the Porsche 911 Dakar shared a video of this sports car speeding through a stream, capturing the attention of the online community.
Before driving the sports car through the water, the owner conducted a trial with a Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 to carefully measure the water level. However, it is undeniable that this wealthy man from Hai Phong is quite adventurous.
This Porsche, owned by the Hai Phong tycoon, returned to Vietnam in August. It is the first genuine 911 Dakar in Vietnam and one of the 2,500 cars produced worldwide.
This Porsche 911 Dakar has the serial number 1,904, which coincidentally matches the owner’s date of birth.
The car is based on the platform of the standard 911 Carrera but has been upgraded to handle various terrains. Porsche has fine-tuned the suspension system, increased the ground clearance by 80 mm compared to the regular 911 versions, reaching 200 mm.
When the Off-road High Level mode is activated, the ground clearance increases by 30 mm. This model has a ground clearance and operating angles suitable for off-road driving, allowing the car to overcome high-speed bumps without worrying about the undercarriage. The mode automatically turns off when the car exceeds 170 km/h.
This car has many personalized details according to the owner’s preferences, such as a signature on the door sill, additional rollover protection, roof rack, day running LED lights, and other off-road driving accessories.
In terms of the interior, the car is equipped with full amenities. However, the rear seats have been completely removed to reduce weight, and the front uses sports seats. The seats are wrapped in smooth leather combined with Race-tex material.
Some notable equipment in this car includes a 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, a mechanical and digital combination behind the steering wheel, an electronic display, Bose sound system, and dual-zone automatic air conditioning.
Additionally, the Hai Phong tycoon has spent nearly 30 million VND to add yellow-colored seat belts for safety reasons.
Powering the Porsche 911 Dakar is a 3.0L 6-cylinder boxer engine with 473 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque. It is combined with an 8-speed PDK automatic gearbox and an AWD drivetrain. With this power, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 240 km/h.
