I have developed a strong affinity for Ferrari automobiles. However, recently, Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu has surprised car enthusiasts by acquiring older models of Ferraris instead of choosing newer ones like the SF90, 296, or 812. Just a while ago, he added a Ferrari 488 GTB to his collection, even though his garage already held a rare 488 Pista Spider.
Recently, the dealership that maintains a close relationship with Mr. Vu posted a series of images of a white Ferrari California with “UN” lettering on both sides of the car. These images subtly confirm that the car belongs to the coffee industry businessman. The photos showcase a house that has served as a backdrop for several million-dollar supercars from the Trung Nguyen Group.
According to research, this Ferrari California belongs to the 2010 model year and is currently valued at around 10 billion VND. Originally, the car had a Rosso Corsa color, but it has been transformed into white using a decal method. Despite its age, the car has relatively low mileage, with about 9,000 km recorded as of May 2022.
Up to this point, the Vietnamese market has seen the presence of 4 first-generation Ferrari California cars, including one featured in this article, one in white, and two others in red. One of the red ones has undergone upgrades with the Hamann package and was previously owned by wealthy individual Do Binh Duong (Duong Kon) before being sold to Mr. Vu.
The Ferrari California, introduced in 2008, immediately caught attention with its front-positioned engine and a 2+2 seating interior. It was also the first Ferrari convertible equipped with a metal hardtop. This hardtop can be opened or closed using an electric motor in just 14 seconds.
The car featured in this article sports sporty 5-spoke Diamond-Cut wheels, while the black brake calipers at the rear are not excessively eye-catching.
The interior of the car is predominantly adorned with brown leather and complemented by black in specific areas. Combined with red stitching and trim, it creates a unique style that sets it apart from other Ferraris in Vietnam. There are no carbon fiber details in this car.
The “heart” of the Ferrari California is a naturally aspirated 4.3-liter V8 engine that delivers a maximum power of 460 horsepower and a maximum torque of 485 Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 4 seconds and reach a top speed of 310 km/h.
With a price tag of around 10 billion VND, the Ferrari California remains a desirable choice due to its design by Pininfarina, a naturally aspirated engine with an impressive exhaust note, and performance suitable for both city driving and exhilarating races.
