After the ranking round, five racers secured pole position: Anh Phú (NSF 100 category), Minh Phúc (Blade 110 category), Ðức Thanh (MSX 125 category), Ðạt Khoa (Winner 150 category), and Lê Phương (UB130 category).

NSF100 category

In stage 1, racer Anh Phú, although completely dominant, unfortunately had a fall. However, in this round 2, he made no mistakes, taking advantage of the pole position and securing first place in a convincing manner. Racer Minh Tú, although unable to compete with Anh Phú, finished in a comfortable second place. Third place belonged to Ðức Tài.

Meanwhile, the stage 1 winner Phùng Cao Nguyên had an unfortunate injury during practice, which means all three podium positions have changed compared to stage 1, showcasing the competitiveness and equal quality of the NSF100 category.

Blade 110 category

After the NSF100 category, the racetrack became more lively with the “noise” from the improved Honda Blades. Right from the start, the first three racers to take off, Minh Phúc, Anh Dũng, Hoàng Khang, all made good use of their starting positions and secured the top three positions.

Minh Phúc quickly showed his dominance while Anh Dũng and Hoàng Khang fiercely competed for the second position. Taking advantage of this, Minh Phúc gradually widened the gap and comfortably finished in first place. This was his second consecutive victory, establishing his “dominance” in the Blade 110 category over the two rounds.

Meanwhile, although at one point he managed to secure the second position in lap 7, Hoàng Khang couldn’t maintain his advantage, allowing Anh Dũng to overtake him after just one more lap and finishing in third place.

In general, the Blade 110 category was fast-paced, although the last three laps of the race became quite dull as the top three racers created a large gap and chose to play it safe.

MSX125 category

After a less than ideal performance in stage 1 due to his condition, despite having the pole, Ðức Thanh couldn’t showcase much and ended up in a fortunate second place. In this round 2, with his improved condition, the racer from Honda Racing Vietnam was determined to assert his class.

Taking advantage of the pole, right from the start Ðức Thanh quickly took the lead and created a significant gap with the other racers after just one lap. With good techniques and confident racing, without making any mistakes, Nguyễn Ðức Thanh secured the first-place position in the most convincing way.

Meanwhile, despite starting in the 7th position, Thanh Bảo impressively secured second place. The racer who finished in third place was Minh Phát. Therefore, in round 2, both Ðức Thanh and Thanh Bảo were promoted to the podium, while the winner of stage 1, Nhật Trường, couldn’t maintain his performance.

Winner 150 category

Right after the MSX125 category, the Winner 150 motorcycles made the racetrack exciting. And the race unfolded in a surprising manner.

The first two racers to take off were not the ones to secure the advantage, but racer Trường Giang, who started in the third position, only needed three laps to assert his dominance and create a safe gap with the following racers.

This top five had racers closely following each other, fiercely competing. Among them, Ngọc Nhân and Tuấn Anh stood out the most. Due to the intense competition among these top five racers, Trường Giang widened the gap and secured the first-place position. Notably, in stage 1, Trường Giang finished in the lowest position, so his rise to the podium in round 2 surprised everyone.

Meanwhile, Ngọc Nhân and Tuấn Anh competed relentlessly for the second position, constantly swapping positions, engaging in an intense battle until the end. The winner was Ngọc Nhân, finishing ahead of Tuấn Anh.

In stage 1, Tuấn Anh finished last. With the two racers who finished at the bottom in stage 1 securing two podium positions in round 2, this can be considered a remarkable turnaround. The stage 1 winner Đông Nghi had a fall in this round 2, resulting in a lackluster racing day.

UB130 category

Just as the racers in the UB130 category were starting, it started pouring rain, causing the race to pause for the racers to switch to hard tires in the pit. Despite the heavy rain and wet track, the racers in the UB130 category were determined to compete.

Right from the start, Minh Sang and Lê Phương quickly took the top two positions, while Anh Tuấn, starting from the sixth position, quickly moved up to third. After the first seven laps, Anh Tuấn was still closely following with determination. It can be said that the competition between Minh Sang and Lê Phương created opportunities for Anh Tuấn to narrow the gap. In the eighth lap, Anh Tuấn overtook Lê Phương, but after just one corner, he slipped and returned to the third position.

However, this slip became the turning point of the race. After the fall, Lê Phương continued to push forward and compete fiercely with Minh Sang. In the third corner of the final lap, Lê Phương made a daring overtaking move, while Minh Sang refused to back down, maintaining his position. This led to a collision between the two racers, allowing Anh Tuấn to become the champion of round 2 in an “insane” race. It was an emotional victory for another racer in the Honda Racing Vietnam team.

Round 2 ended with excitement, delivering a thrilling performance. However, with the latest developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, now is the time for all of us to join hands in the fight against the disease following the government’s instructions. Hopefully, round 3 of VMRC 2020 will not be missed by everyone.
