Toyota Camry 2025: Striking design, purely hybrid

Introducing the Toyota Camry 2025, a leap into the future. This next-generation sedan showcases an array of significant upgrades, enhancing both its design and powertrain. Set to captivate drivers in the midsize segment, the Camry 2025 is a compelling choice.

In this upgrade, the Toyota Camry 2025 is still built on the TNGA-K platform of the 8th generation Camry. However, the Japanese automaker has improved the suspension system of the new Camry to provide better response and handling. In the US, the car is available in LE, SE, XLE, and XSE variants.

When it comes to the exterior design, the 2025 Camry retains its traditional sedan look instead of following the SUV trend. The changes in the exterior design of the new Camry are enough to give it a fresh, more attractive, and sportier appearance, making it appealing to even younger customers.

The front of the car stands out with a larger grille and slimmer headlights. The new model features standard LED headlights, daytime running lights, and taillights. Notably, the headlight design bears resemblance to the new Prius.

The grille also differs between the versions, with a black sport grille on the SE and a metallic gray grille on the XLE.

The XSE variant features a body-colored lower bumper, black trunk lid accents, and 19-inch wheels. It comes with a Midnight Black Metallic roof and is available in Ocean Gem, Wind Chill Pearl, Heavy Metal, and Supersonic Red colors.

Among the different versions of the 2025 Camry, there are also differences in the interior materials used. The SE version features SofTex material with white accents instead of Boulder or Black. The LE version comes with wave-patterned printed cloth material. The XSE has black or bright red leather upholstery, and the XLE features leather with microfiber Dinamica accents. The XLE and XSE versions offer optional heated and ventilated seats, as well as multi-layer soundproof glass for the front windows to reduce wind noise inside the cabin.

The 2025 Camry is equipped with a 7.0-inch digital gauge cluster and an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen. The XLE and XSE variants come with a pair of 12.3-inch screens for the gauge cluster and infotainment display. The infotainment screen supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Additionally, the car features wireless charging and a 9-speaker JBL audio system. The higher trim levels also include a 10-inch HUD screen.

Moreover, there are differences in the interior materials used in the various versions of the 2025 Camry. The SE version features SofTex material with white accents instead of Boulder or Black. The LE version uses wave-patterned cloth material. The XSE has black or bright red leather upholstery, while the XLE also features microfiber Dinamica accents on the seats. The XLE and XSE versions are also available with heated and ventilated seats, as well as multi-layer soundproofing glass for the front windows to reduce external noise inside the cabin.

Another notable upgrade on the 2025 Camry is that it will only be available as a hybrid variant, with either front-wheel drive or AWD. The hybrid powertrain in the 2025 Camry combines a 2.5L 4-cylinder inline engine with two electric motors. In the front-wheel drive variant, this powertrain delivers a combined power output of 225 horsepower, while the all-wheel drive variant delivers a combined power output of 232 horsepower. Both powertrains use an eCVT transmission.

All versions of the 2025 Camry come with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 system, which includes a pre-collision warning system that detects vehicles and pedestrians, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, automatic headlights, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

The XLE and XSE offer an optional Premium Plus package that adds features such as road jam assist, forward cross-traffic alert, lane change assist, 360-degree panoramic monitor, and front and rear parking assist with automatic braking. There is currently no information available on a sporty TRD version.

The Camry 2025 will be available at Toyota dealerships in the US in early 2024, with pricing yet to be revealed. However, due to the standard hybrid powertrain, it is likely that the Camry 2025 will have a higher starting price compared to the previous generation. The gasoline variant of the previous generation had a starting price of $26,420, while the 2024 Camry Hybrid started at $28,855.
