Expected to launch in early 2022, the 2024 Kia Sorento Facelift boasts an elegant and powerful exterior design inspired by the Opposites United design philosophy. The American version of the Kia Sorento bears a striking resemblance to its Korean market counterpart. However, there is a notable change with the addition of amber-colored daytime running lights.

The 2024 Kia Sorento showcases a completely revamped front end that exudes muscularity and sportiness. It combines a prominent grille, new vertical headlights, and a wider skid plate, giving it a more robust appearance.

While Kia doesn’t mention many other changes, the crossover does come equipped with a new rear bumper and redesigned taillights. Buyers can also expect a refined exterior paint color selection, including Dawning Red and Midnight Lake Blue.

Stepping inside, we’re treated to a more luxurious cabin fitted with a host of modern features. These include a new panoramic curved display consisting of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment system. The infotainment screen is touted to offer quicker response times and is capable of receiving over-the-air software updates.

Other notable highlights include digital key technology, a digital rearview mirror, and an upgraded Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system. In addition, the vehicle will also come equipped with various other driver assistance systems such as Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, and Highway Driving Assist 2. Kia has also mentioned that US customers can look forward to an Intelligent Cruise Control system featuring Machine Learning.

In addition to the usual design and equipment upgrades, the 2024 Sorento introduces a new X-Pro variant featuring 17-inch off-road wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich tires. Based on the X-Line variant, the X-Pro version sports unique front and rear skid plates, a gloss black grille, and a center differential lock. Inside, buyers will find a luxurious cabin adorned with leather seats, wood trim accents, and a distinctive color combination of Olive Brown and Sage.

Under the hood, the vehicle is powered by a naturally aspirated 2.5L 4-cylinder engine. The naturally aspirated engine delivers 191 horsepower and 245 Nm of torque, while the turbocharged engine generates 281 horsepower and 421 Nm of torque. HEV and PHEV versions are expected to be launched towards the end of 2024.
