Toyota is set to release a new set of advanced safety technologies called Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) in the upcoming year. With the goal of helping drivers prevent or minimize the impact of collisions, Toyota offers two optional packages at affordable prices.

Toyota Safety Sense.

First is the TSS C package, designed for compact cars, which includes a pre-collision warning system utilizing both a camera and radar laser. When a collision risk is detected, the system alerts the driver with audio and visual cues. If the driver fails to respond, the system automatically applies the brakes, reducing the vehicle’s speed to approximately 30 km/h.

The TSS C package also features a lane departure warning system and adaptive headlights that automatically switch between high and low beams, as well as identify oncoming vehicles and vehicles in front.

The TSS P package, designed for mid-size and luxury cars, includes all the safety features of the TSS C package, with the addition of cruise control and a pre-collision warning system incorporating pedestrian detection technology.

In addition to these safety systems, Toyota is also developing a new vehicle-to-vehicle communication system and intelligent LED headlights.
