Recently, a YouTuber named Revokid Vlogs uploaded a video featuring a Toyota Fortuner with a unique modification – a portable toilet installed inside the interior. This eccentric modification quickly caught the attention of the online community.
The portable toilet is located in the position of the 3rd row seat, with one side of the seat removed to make space. The other side of the seat remains intact. The separate toilet bowl is designed by Ojes Automobiles, an Indian company specializing in motorhomes. To ensure privacy and separation from the cabin of the Toyota Fortuner, a partition wall and a door have been added by the modification workshop.
This toilet cabin is relatively small, capable of accommodating only one person. The person using the toilet must also be mindful of their height to avoid hitting the ceiling of the car. Inside this compact toilet, there is a toilet bowl and a bidet. To supply water for the toilet, a specialized water tank for mobile homes has been installed beneath the floor of the Fortuner. Access to the toilet is gained by folding the middle row of seats and stepping inside, similar to accessing the 3rd row seats.
Revokid Vlogs mentioned that this portable toilet in the Fortuner can be used even while the car is in motion. However, he does not encourage using it in this manner due to safety concerns in case of sudden braking. Interestingly, seat belts are still present next to the toilet seat. The cost of installing a toilet in a Toyota Fortuner was not disclosed by the owner of the YouTube channel.
According to a report by Cartoq, equipping cars with toilets has become a popular trend in India since the Covid-19 pandemic, especially for individuals planning long-distance travel. This solution is particularly beneficial for taxi drivers who often struggle to find clean and safe restroom facilities while on the move.
