In order to boost the market demand, car manufacturers and dealerships are promoting many urban SUV models, which have seen declining sales in April.

Toyota Corolla Cross offers up to a 80 million VND discount

Despite a 10.6% decrease in sales at the beginning of the second quarter, Toyota Corolla Cross still maintains its leading position in the segment with the highest consumption rate. This is mainly due to setbacks faced by its competitors in April.

With a total of 4,727 vehicles delivered to Vietnamese customers since the beginning of the year, Toyota Corolla Cross has widened its sales lead over its closest competitor by nearly 1,500 vehicles, making it the best-selling urban SUV in the market for now.

According to a sales consultant from a Toyota dealership in Ho Chi Minh City, customers purchasing Toyota Corolla Cross in May can enjoy a maximum discount of 80 million VND.

“The highest discount of 80 million VND is applied to the remaining 2022 Corolla Cross vehicles. Currently, there are only 5 Toyota Corolla Cross vehicles with 2022 VIN numbers left,” the sales consultant revealed.

In addition, customers purchasing Toyota Corolla Cross vehicles manufactured in 2023 will also receive a maximum discount of 30 million VND in May.

After price adjustments at the beginning of the year, the three versions of Toyota Corolla Cross are currently priced at 755 million VND, 860 million VND, and 955 million VND, respectively.

Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta offer discounts of tens of millions of VND

Following closely behind the Toyota Corolla Cross, two Korean models, Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, have achieved cumulative sales of 3,284 and 2,051 vehicles, respectively.

In May, Hyundai Thanh Cong Vietnam confirmed the implementation of a registration fee waiver program for all its products in the Vietnamese market.

According to research by Zing, many dealerships have announced cash discounts and accessories equivalent to 100% of the registration fee for customers purchasing Hyundai Creta vehicles this month. It is worth noting that the discounted offer only applies to Creta vehicles manufactured in 2023.

Currently, Hyundai Creta is still being directly imported from Indonesia and distributed in Vietnam with a total of 3 versions. The listed prices for this B-segment SUV range from 640 million VND to 740 million VND.

Meanwhile, Kia Seltos offers discounts of 50-60 million VND for different versions, with the highest discount applying to the Premium version with a 1.4L Turbo engine, as well as the 1.6 Premium version.

Unlike its Korean counterpart, Kia Seltos is assembled in Vietnam with a total of 7 versions. The listed prices for Kia Seltos range from 649 million VND for the 1.6 Deluxe version to 769 million VND for the 1.5 Turbo GT-Line version.

Honda HR-V offers little discount, Mazda offers nearly 70 million VND incentives

As the only urban SUV with positive sales growth in April, Honda HR-V has temporarily surpassed the duo Mazda CX-3 and Mazda CX-30 after being at the bottom of the sales chart for a long time.

However, the increased sales of Honda HR-V did not come from attractive incentives. According to Zing, the B-segment SUV imported directly from Thailand by Honda is only entitled to incentives equivalent to 10 million VND at some dealerships.

Meanwhile, Mazda is offering a maximum discount of nearly 69 million VND for customers purchasing Mazda CX-3 in May. The highest discount applies to the Luxury version, while the other two versions are eligible for discounts ranging from 15 to 63 million VND.

For Mazda CX-30, customers choosing the Luxury and Premium versions are eligible for a maximum discount of 30 million VND.

Currently, Mazda CX-30 is temporarily the slowest-selling urban SUV in the Vietnamese market. This B-segment and C-segment SUV has 2 versions for Vietnamese customers to choose from, with the Luxury version priced at 709 million VND and the Premium version priced at 749 million VND.

The three versions of Mazda CX-3 are priced from 569 to 646 million VND, while Honda HR-V is listed in the range of 699 to 871 million VND.

Even hybrid vehicles are being discounted

Introduced in November last year, the Nissan Kicks drew attention as the only B-segment SUV in the segment to feature a 1.2L gasoline engine operating in tandem with a 134 horsepower electric motor.

Currently, Nissan dealerships are offering a 100% registration fee waiver, as well as one-year comprehensive insurance and accessories worth 20 million VND for Nissan Kicks vehicles. However, this program is only applicable to Nissan Kicks vehicles manufactured in 2022, according to dealership staff who confirmed this with Zing.

Nissan Kicks is imported completely from Thailand and distributed in the Vietnamese market with a total of 2 versions. The listed prices for this hybrid gasoline vehicle range from 789 million VND for the E version to 858 million VND for the V version.
