To promote community awareness of climate change and environmental pollution, as well as showcase Vietnam and its people to Southeast Asian countries and the international community, Toyota Vietnam is actively participating in the Green SEA Games program. This program was launched by the Resources and Environment Communication Center, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, in collaboration with the General Department of Sports and Physical Training.

This pioneering Green SEA Games in Vietnam aims to spread messages of environmental protection, encourage individuals and communities to change their awareness, thinking, and actions to minimize the plastic impact on our planet, and contribute to climate change adaptation and mitigation not only within the region but globally. Toyota Vietnam has taken the following measures to support a green, clean, beautiful, and environmentally friendly Games:

– Organizing a Roadshow in Hanoi featuring Toyota Hybrid vehicles that are fuel-efficient and emit 1.5 to 2 times less CO2 emissions than conventional vehicles.

– Participating in the Recycling-for-Gifts program to raise awareness of the importance of recycling for environmental protection. This program allows individuals to collect plastic and receive gifts at the competition venues in Hanoi.

– Sponsoring uniforms for volunteers engaged in garbage collection at the competition venues in Hanoi.

In addition to supporting the Green SEA Games program, Toyota Vietnam, together with its nationwide Toyota dealer network, regularly carries out environmental protection activities. These include planting trees at schools as part of the “Toyota joins hands in greening schools” program, building playgrounds for children using recycled tires in the “Second Journey of Tires” program, and participating in tree planting programs in response to the 1 billion trees campaign launched by the Prime Minister. Toyota Vietnam also organizes environmental events such as tree planting activities on World Environment Day and roadshows to respond to the Earth Hour 2021 campaign. These initiatives demonstrate Toyota’s strong commitment to environmental preservation in collaboration with the Vietnamese community, with a vision to create a better environment for the present and future generations.

For the past 27 years in Vietnam, Toyota Vietnam has not only provided quality products and services to customers but has also aimed to become a “Green Enterprise” through comprehensive environmental solutions. This commitment includes pioneering the introduction of Hybrid vehicles with advanced and environmentally friendly technology to realize the dream of owning green vehicles for the Vietnamese population. Toyota Vietnam also implements a closed-loop system throughout its entire operation, from factories and suppliers to dealers, to minimize negative impacts on the environment. Furthermore, Toyota Vietnam actively engages in numerous environmentally friendly activities for the community and society, aiming to enhance the environment in Vietnam, improve people’s quality of life, and raise awareness among the younger generation and the community on the importance of protecting the living environment.
