The all-new Forester, similar to the Crosstrek, Outback, and WRX, adopts an evolutionary style rather than a complete redesign in terms of design. It receives a refreshed front fascia with a wider grille, improved headlights, and slimmer LED daytime running lights. The front and rear bumper are equipped with thicker plastic cladding, just like other Subaru models.
At the rear, the taillights have been redesigned in a more conventional style with clear lenses, connected through a black strip. The leaked images of the next-generation Forester reveal that the Sport variant boasts newly designed alloy wheels painted in copper.
Inside the cabin, the all-new Forester showcases an infotainment system with a prominent vertically-oriented touchscreen on the dashboard, accompanied by fewer physical control buttons. Multiple front USB ports and a wireless charging system are also visible. The leaked photo confirms that Subaru has retained analog dials for the instrument cluster.
While detailed information about the powertrain remains undisclosed, it is highly likely that the all-new Forester will continue to offer engine options such as the naturally aspirated 2.0L and 2.5L boxer-4 engines, along with the eBoxer 2.0L hybrid option. The engine lineup may vary depending on the market where the Forester is sold.
More details about the all-new Forester will be unveiled at the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show, opening on November 16.
