The Bentley Mulsanne, an ultra-luxurious car, was exclusively designed for Queen Elizabeth II and has now become part of the brand’s prestigious heritage collection.

For over 100 years, the Bentley Mulsanne has been renowned in the automotive industry as a symbol of luxury, elegance, and power. Since its introduction in 1980, the Mulsanne has captivated the super-rich with its unparalleled appeal. In 2009, Bentley unveiled the second-generation Mulsanne, which continued to fascinate car enthusiasts with its striking exterior and exquisite interior. However, in 2020, Bentley announced the discontinuation of the Mulsanne to make room for its sibling, the Flying Spur.

One of the last Bentley Mulsannes ever produced holds a special place in history as it was once owned by Queen Elizabeth II. This particular car features an eye-catching Barnato green exterior, while the interior is adorned with Twine and Cumbrian leather, along with exquisite Burr Walnut wood veneer and a premium sheep wool carpet.

Moreover, this Mulsanne is equipped with a private curtain in the rear, showcasing the engraved Royal emblem of the United Kingdom on the door panel. Additionally, it boasts a specially designed compartment to hold the Queen’s handbag.

For the Queen’s travels, the car is outfitted with police lights and a siren, discreetly controlled by a hidden switch system located under the center armrest.

Under the hood, the Queen’s Mulsanne is powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine with a displacement of 6.75L, capable of generating an impressive 400 horsepower and 835 Nm of torque. Bentley has equipped the car with a unique transmission system that allows the engine to maintain a slow speed during processions, averaging just 15 km/h.

Recently, this iconic Mulsanne has been returned to the factory and added to the prestigious Bentley Heritage Collection. This remarkable collection comprises 45 significant cars, ranging from the EXP2 produced in 1911 to the 2021 Continental GT Speed. The featured Mulsanne is one of the three Mulsannes in the collection, alongside the second-ever produced Mulsanne, the VIN 0002 from 2010, and the 2019 Mulsanne Speed ??that served in Bentley’s press fleet.
