In the Vietnamese market, there are many wealthy individuals who are willing to invest billions of dong to own their own customized Rolls-Royce. Notable examples include the Rolls-Royce Phantom Hoa Binh Vinh Quang owned by Mr. Hien, Chairman of the T&T Group, the Phantom Mat Troi Phuong Dong owned by Mr. Le Thanh Thanh, and the Phantom Lua Thieng owned by Mr. Trinh Van Quyet.

All three cars are bespoke “1 of 1” editions, customized to the owner’s preferences.

The Phantom Lua Thieng is particularly unique as it is part of the Dong Son Bronze collection, a concept created by the former Rolls-Royce distributor in Vietnam. This collection includes Lua Thieng (Sacred Fire), Thuy Trieu (Wave), Ngan Vu (The Money Rain), Than Nui (God of Mountain), Phu Sa (Red River Alluvium), and Me Au Co (Mother Au Co).

However, only the Lua Thieng edition mentioned in the article was produced, as there were no customers who ordered the other 5 versions.

Upon its arrival in Vietnam in 2015, this unique luxury sedan quickly became a sensation. At the time, the selling price of the car reached nearly 50 billion VND (excluding registration fees) with a Hanoi license plate. After 8 years of usage, the car was put up for auction at the end of 2022 with an initial price of 28 billion VND. It took until the 7th auction for the car to find a buyer, ultimately selling for 16.5 billion VND.

Currently, the car is being offered for sale by a reputable car dealer for nearly 25 billion VND.

As a Lua Thieng edition, the car boasts a striking exterior with the lower half painted in Madeira Red and the upper half in Sunrise Rose Gold. This color scheme symbolizes growth, fortune, and prosperity, in line with the beliefs of the affluent.

The front of the car retains the timeless design of the Phantom series, featuring LED lighting and turn signal strips underneath. Despite 8 years of usage, this detail is still impeccably maintained.

The handcrafted Spirit of Ecstasy emblem is made of 24K gold, adding an exquisite touch to the car.

In comparison to the softer design of the 7th generation, the rear of the car features a more angular design. The exhaust cap, trunk trim, and rear light borders are all adorned with chrome plating, enhancing the car’s luxurious appeal. The fuel cap is situated at the D-pillar position.

Based on the EWB Series II model, the Rolls-Royce Phantom Lua Thieng measures 6,092 x 1,990 x 1,640 mm (length x width x height) with a wheelbase of an impressive 3,820 mm.

The car showcases prominent multi-spoke chrome wheels, measuring 21 inches in both the front and rear. The central wheel lock cover features a rose gold border, complementing the car’s body color.

Both sides of the car are accentuated with yellow coachlines meticulously drawn by artisan Mark Court. The Spirit of Ecstasy emblem is replaced with a bronze drum emblem.

The interior of the car predominantly features leather and wood materials, exuding a warm brownish-yellow tone. The 3-spoke steering wheel is elegantly simple, adorned with physical buttons. The gear lever, positioned behind the steering wheel, is a distinctive feature of the Phantom, accompanied by the mechanical clock and multi-information LCD screen. The central entertainment screen can be opened/closed upon starting the car.

The headrest showcases a hand-embroidered bronze drum emblem with contrasting white thread.

The passenger-side dashboard proudly displays the Dong Son emblem and the words “Dong Son” to signify its association with the collection. Additionally, each side of the door sill bears a pattern of 9 brass bells, symbolizing the 18 generations of the Hung Kings in Vietnam’s history.

The second-row seats consist of two individual seats with a fixed armrest, integrated with seat adjustment buttons and curtains underneath. This compartment is entirely separated from the front seats by a transparent partition, while communication with the driver remains possible through an onboard microphone.

On the partition, an exquisitely crafted clock and a bronze drum emblem are incorporated. The trim below the screen depicts the cultural symbol of Dong Son.

Furthermore, the British automaker has equipped the Rolls-Royce Phantom Lua Thieng with two separate refrigerators, one with a temperature of 6 degrees Celsius and another with a temperature of 11 degrees Celsius for the storage of wine.

Powering this exceptional Phantom is a 6.75L V12 engine, generating 454 horsepower and 720 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 4-wheel drive system and an 8-speed ZF transmission. With this configuration, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds.
