VinFast unveils VF 9, Vietnam’s representative at COP28

VinFast has the privilege of being the sole representative of Vietnamese businesses participating in the presentation and showcasing of products at the annual global conference on climate change, COP28.

This is one of the most important international conferences with the participation of Heads of State from nearly 200 countries worldwide.

COP is the largest international conference on climate change organized by the United Nations, exerting significant and long-term influence on the future of humanity. This year’s conference – COP28 is considered the most decisive turning point in 8 years, as world leaders will, for the first time, evaluate the targets set out in the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.

Given its exceptional significance, COP28 is expected to draw 70,000 attendees, including Heads of State, Heads of Government, and world leaders from 197 countries, along with thousands of non-governmental organizations, businesses, youth groups, and stakeholders.

The Vietnamese delegation, led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, comprises representatives from government agencies, organizations, and leading Vietnamese businesses. Among them, VinFast stands out as the only representative of Vietnamese businesses to partake in the presentation and showcase of products at COP28.

Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of Vingroup and Global CEO of VinFast, will engage in a panel discussion on “Enhancing the Resilience of Sustainable Supply Chains,” alongside politicians and representatives of international businesses. As the sole representative of Vietnamese businesses and a prominent figure in the field of international green transportation, VinFast will present global leaders with green mobility solutions and sustainable development strategies, contributing to the creation of a green future for today and tomorrow.

In conjunction with COP28, VinFast will also host an exhibition featuring its flagship model, the VinFast VF 9, from November 30 to December 12, 2023.

The VF 9 is a full-size electric SUV capable of generating up to 402 horsepower and boasting a driving range of up to 330 miles (according to EPA standards). With dimensions of 5,118 x 2,254 x 1,696 (mm), the vehicle features an extended wheelbase of 3,150 mm, combined with the streamlined structure characteristic of electric vehicles. These attributes provide an optimized, spacious interior suitable for 7-seater or 6-seater configurations (with the captain’s chair option). The vehicle’s exterior exudes modernity and elegance, accompanied by optimized aerodynamics. The interior seamlessly melds luxury with advanced technologies, delivering an exhilarating driving experience while enhancing performance and safety standards for users.

The VinFast VF 9 is equipped with premium features such as a dual front seat system with massage, ventilation, and heating functionality (Plus version), a 15.6-inch central Entertainment Display, a Heads-Up Display integrated into the windshield, automatic anti-glare exterior rearview mirrors (Plus version), and 11 airbags.

The vehicle also incorporates an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) offering select level 2 features, utility applications, and intelligent entertainment that will undergo continuous remote updates free of charge via the FOTA protocol. These updates aim to enhance features and provide customers with increasingly engaging experiences.
