The Vietnam Truck Festival 2023 was held in Nam Hoi An on July 15th and 16th, with more than 1,000 members from truck clubs across the country.
The largest Truck Festival of the year is back
Since its inception, the Truck Festival has become a source of inspiration and a thriving playground for the nationwide community of truck enthusiasts, in collaboration with three leading truck clubs including Pickup Vietnam Club (PVC), Pickup and Friends (PNF), and Pickup Danang Club (PDC).
The event is held annually with different themes, aiming to foster connections, promote exchange, and foster a strong and sustainable community.
After a two-year hiatus due to the challenges posed by the pandemic and economic downturn, the annual Truck Festival for the truck community in the three main regions officially returns this year with the theme “Grow up together – Strong together” – advocating for unity, civility, and a friendly truck community, and gradually spreading the truck passion to the Vietnamese car community.
With the largest scale ever, the festival features a wide range of interactive activities and competitions such as off-road driving, steamboat racing, and motocross racing.
This year, the festival introduces a new program on safe driving, sharing off-road driving skills (DSFL), and first aid instructions “Safety for rescuers and safety for victims”.
Through the festival, participants not only satiate their thirst for trucks but also acquire comprehensive knowledge and essential skills to conquer off-road terrains, as well as basic first aid skills to ensure safe and efficient driving.
With the goal of sustainable development for the truck community, truck owners share a common passion for trucks and adventurous journeys. To date, truck clubs nationwide have not only succeeded in building a community with shared interests but also maintained a sense of unity, civility, and respect for discipline among their members.
However, the community does not merely revolve around sharing knowledge about products or providing safe driving experiences and inspiring routes. Above all, they are pioneers in supporting vulnerable groups and those in need.
The truck community has implemented numerous social activities such as cooking porridge to serve hospitals in mountainous areas, donating water tanks to renovate floating schools for Vietnamese children living in the Cambodia Sea, constructing public spaces to improve the lives of workers in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang, as well as transforming Ford Ranger trucks into mobile relief vehicles to transport essential supplies to people during the pandemic.
Ford Vietnam has always been a dedicated partner in these activities, as the spirit of the truck community aligns with Ford’s philosophy of “Live the Ranger Life,” which draws inspiration from the truck community and celebrates the lifestyle and inner strength of each owner.
Currently, over 80% of truck community members nationwide use Ranger and Ranger Raptor models. In order to nurture a sustainable truck community, Ford Vietnam is committed to further collaborating with the truck community to develop meaningful and impactful social initiatives.
In addition to strengthening the truck community, Ford Vietnam will continue to leverage its existing strengths to maintain a competitive edge for core products and establish a position for new offerings.
Simultaneously, Ford Vietnam is actively enhancing service quality, continuously improving processes, and integrating technology applications to provide Ford owners with a seamless customer experience from research and purchase to ownership and usage.
