The Kawasaki Ninja e-1 is an excellent option for daily commuting in urban areas due to its lightweight design. Weighing in at 140kg and boasting a ground clearance of 160mm, it offers easy maneuverability. Moreover, the Kawasaki Ninja e-1 features a “Walk” mode for effortless walking with the bike.

According to the Japanese manufacturer, the Ninja e-1 is built on the 400cc series frame platform and offers performance standards equivalent to motorcycles utilizing 125cc internal combustion engines.

The Kawasaki Ninja e-1 utilizes an electric motor with a rated power output of 5kW, a maximum power output of 9kW (equivalent to 12.1 horsepower), and a torque of 40.5Nm. This power is supplied by two removable lithium-ion battery packs, weighing 11.5kg each, connected in parallel. Each battery pack has a capacity of 30Ah and a voltage of 50.4V. When configured as a pair, their combined maximum storage capacity reaches 3.024kWh.

As per the manufacturer’s announcement, each battery pack requires approximately 3.7 hours for a full charge and 1.6 hours to charge from 20% to 85%. Additionally, the motorcycle is equipped with a regenerative braking system that recharges the batteries.

Notably, the Kawasaki Ninja e-1 comes with a low-speed riding mode and a reverse option, facilitating easy maneuvering in crowded roads or tight parking spaces.

In addition, the Kawasaki Ninja e-1 features a 4.3-inch TFT screen capable of connecting to smartphones and displaying comprehensive information. Furthermore, a 5-liter storage compartment is located beneath the battery compartment for holding small items.

BMW CE 04

The CE 04 represents one of the flagship electric motorcycle models in BMW Motorrad’s diversified portfolio. It stands out with its futuristic and attention-grabbing design. The overall body features a combination of sleek curves and rectangular shapes, evoking the appearance of the small spaceships commonly seen in science fiction movies.

According to the manufacturer’s specifications, the BMW CE 04 has a seat height of 780mm and a weight of 231kg. BMW has creatively placed the motor inside the electric motorcycle frame rather than the traditional swingarm. This arrangement enhances the center of gravity and contributes to an exhilarating and dynamic riding experience.

The BMW CE04 utilizes an electric motor delivering a power output of 42 horsepower and a torque of 62Nm. This power is complemented by an 8.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, ensuring a maximum travel distance of 130km following a full charge. BMW Motorrad claims that the CE04 electric motorcycle can accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in just 2.6 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 120 km/h.

A 2.3 kW charger requires approximately 4 hours and 20 minutes to fully charge the battery. However, with a 6.9 kW charger, the battery capacity can increase from 20% to 80% in just 45 minutes.

LiveWire S2 Del Mar

The S2 Del Mar represents LiveWire’s electric motorcycle model under the Harley-Davidson subsidiary brand. Stepping into the mid-range electric bike market, the S2 Del Mar draws inspiration from H-D’s flat motorcycles. However, it deviates from H-D’s traditional chrome aesthetic by adopting a darker color scheme for the frame and accessories. With a seat height of 817mm, the S2 Del Mar weighs 192kg.

The LiveWire S2 Del Mar is equipped with a single electric motor producing 84 horsepower and 263Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0-100km/h in a mere 3 seconds, boasting a top speed of 165 km/h.

The S2 Del Mar relies on a 10.5 kWh integrated battery pack housing a J1772 Type 1 charging socket. When utilizing a standard Level 1 charger, it takes approximately 5.9 hours to charge from 20% to 80% and 8.4 hours for a full charge from 0% to 100%. However, by upgrading to a Level 2 charger, the motorcycle can charge from 20% to 80% in just 1.3 hours and achieve a full charge from 0% to 100% in 2.4 hours.

According to Livewire, the S2 Del Mar offers an urban range of only 181 km per full charge and a highway range of just 138 km at a speed of nearly 90 km/h. This figure decreases further to 112 km at a consistent speed of 88.51 km/h and drops to as low as 70 km when riding at a slightly higher constant speed of 113 km/h

Zero SR/S

Price: From $20,995 (~ 509 million VND)

The Zero SR/S stands as the brand’s flagship model. Drawing inspiration from the universe, the Zero SR/S offers enhanced aerodynamic efficiency compared to its sibling, the Zero S. With its tall handlebar design, well-positioned footrests, and spacious seat, the SR/S promises a comfortable riding posture.

The SR/S incorporates a 14.4kWh battery pack and Z-Force 75-10 AC motor producing 110 horsepower, 190Nm of torque, and a top speed of nearly 200km/h. Zero claims that the SR/S can reach a maximum travel distance of 259 km in urban areas and 132 km on highways, all while cruising at a top speed of 200 km/h.

An outstanding feature of this electric motorcycle is its concentric assist axle design, which allows for higher torsional loads and enhances rider ergonomic comfort.

The SR/S remains connected at all times, thanks to the Cypher III+ operating system and smartphone applications.

LiveWire One

Price: From $22,799 (~ 553 million VND)

Harley-Davidson emphasizes that the LiveWire One is engineered to deliver an exhilarating riding experience in urban traffic environments.

This motorcycle comes equipped with various electronic riding support features, including a TFT-LCD display that supplies all essential information. Additionally, it incorporates an inertial measurement unit, cornering ABS system, and 4 riding modes (Sport, Road, Range, and Rain).

The LiveWire One is powered by a 3-phase AC motor vertically positioned within the motorcycle frame, providing 105 horsepower and a maximum torque of 116.6Nm. As per the manufacturer’s claim, the LiveWire One can travel up to 234 km on a single charge.

Additionally, Harley-Davidson states that the battery can be fully charged within just 60 minutes or reach 80% charge within 45 minutes using a fast DC charger.
