Despite the absence of an official release date, multiple dealers have already started taking pre-orders for the Suzuki Jimny at an estimated price of VND 789 million. At some point, the price has even reached VND 900 million.
According to our sources, the Suzuki Jimny is currently on display in two dealerships in Ho Chi Minh City. One dealership is located in District 12, while the other is in Tan Binh. These showrooms offer interested customers a chance to closely examine the Suzuki Jimny. Sales advisors have informed us that the official selling price and availability of the car will be announced at the beginning of next year.
It is worth noting that this off-road SUV will only be sold in Vietnam with a limited quantity of around 150 units. According to the sales advisors, the Suzuki Jimny in Vietnam will be priced at VND 789 million for the 1-tone color version, which includes white, silver, black, gray, pearl white, and blue. On the other hand, the price of the 2-tone color version will be VND 799 million, which includes blue black, gold black, and pearl white black variants.
The Suzuki Jimny is available in two body types: 3-door and 5-door. The version introduced in Vietnam will be the 3-door model, directly imported from Japan.
The Suzuki Jimny in Vietnam has the following dimensions: 3,480mm in length, 1,645mm in width, 1,720mm in height, and a wheelbase length of 2,250mm. Its exterior design portrays a rugged and adventurous style, reminiscent of the Land Rover Defender and Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUVs.
As of now, it is uncertain what safety equipment the car will come equipped with upon its arrival in Vietnam. However, it is expected that the SUV will feature LED headlights/taillights, 15-inch alloy wheels, 195/80R15 tires, and a spare tire positioned in the center of the trunk. The interior design is similar to the Suzuki Swift, featuring a 3-spoke steering wheel, analog instrument cluster, 7-inch floating touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility, single-zone automatic air conditioning, AM/FM/Radio/MP3/WMA system, SD card slot, Bluetooth connectivity, USB port, and 2 speakers.
The Suzuki Jimny will be powered by the K15B petrol engine with a straight 4-cylinder configuration, 1.5L displacement, maximum power output of 100 horsepower, 130 Nm of torque, 4-speed automatic transmission, and a 4-wheel drive system.
Catering to customers who have a passion for sports, off-road driving, and outdoor activities, the Suzuki Jimny is a compact SUV equipped with 4-wheel drive and an active transfer case.
In terms of safety features, the car will include essential driving assistance functions such as ABS anti-lock braking system, electronic brake force distribution EBD, brake assist BA, electronic brake force distribution EBD, traction control system TCS, hill start assist, hill descent control, and 2 front airbags.
