The name Toyota AE86 may not be familiar to many people. In fact, AE86 is the common name for the old generation Toyota Corolla Levin and Sprinter Trueno, which were produced from 1983 to 1987. These were two small-sized coupe and hatchback models, with low weight that were introduced as part of the fifth generation Toyota Corolla lineup.
The letter “A” originates from the 4A Series engine used in the old generation Toyota Corolla. The letter “E” represents the Toyota Corolla lineup. The number “8” indicates the fifth generation or E80 Series of the Toyota Corolla. Finally, the number “6” indicates that this is the sixth version of the Toyota Corolla lineup.
In the past, the Sprinter was sold exclusively at Toyota Vista Store dealerships. Meanwhile, the Corolla was only distributed through Toyota Corolla Store dealerships. Later on, Toyota AE86 became the inspiration for the development of rear-wheel drive sports car models such as GT86, FT86, Scion FR-S, and Subaru BRZ.
The Toyota AE86 is equipped with a 1,587 cc 4-cylinder engine with dual cams. This engine was also used in the first generation of Toyota MR2, as well as Celica GT-R and GT Carina. The engine produces a maximum power of 130 horsepower and a maximum torque of 150 Nm in the standard version. In addition, the Toyota AE86 comes with ventilated disc brakes, a front MacPherson strut suspension, and independent rear suspension.
Since it has been out of production for a long time, the Toyota AE86 is now considered a “rare” model. Therefore, the Chinese tuning company GTUU has created a small surprise by using the Toyota AE86 in their latest beauty and car photoshoot.
In the photoshoot, the Toyota AE86 stands side by side with a model who has a slender and enticing waistline and inviting lips. She is not dressed too “scantily” like the usual style seen in GTUU’s beauty and car photoshoots, but she still attracts all eyes when posing with the Toyota AE86 in the sunlight.
