As of now, Hyundai, Toyota, and Ford are the top three brands with the highest car sales in the Vietnam car market from the beginning of 2023 until now.

Hyundai: 48,626 vehicles

From the beginning of the year until now, Hyundai is the leading brand in the market with a total sales volume of 48,626 vehicles in the past 10 months.

Among them, the most popular model from Hyundai is the Hyundai Accent, with a total sales volume of 13,014 vehicles. The Hyundai Creta comes in second place with 7,548 vehicles delivered to customers. Both models are regularly featured on the list of top 10 best-selling cars each month.

In mid-September, Hyundai introduced two new models, Custin and Palisade. These two “newcomers” have contributed to the improvement of Hyundai’s sales with their affordable prices, attractive designs, and premium features.

In October, the company further enhanced its competitive edge by adjusting the prices of the Santa Fe and Tucson models. The starting price of Hyundai Tucson was reduced by VND 76-191 million to VND 769 million. The Hyundai Santa Fe also had its price reduced by VND 86-176 million, with a starting price of VND 969 million. This strategic pricing adjustment not only stimulates purchasing demand but also demonstrates Hyundai’s commitment to making its products more accessible to customers.

Toyota: 42,531 vehicles

As of the end of October 2023, Toyota recorded sales of 42,531 vehicles. The best-selling model from Toyota is the Vios, with a total of 8,943 vehicles delivered to customers. The Vios also ranked third in the list of top 10 best-selling cars in October 2023.

In recent years, Toyota has gained recognition in Vietnam for its proactive and responsive approach. It is not only the leading brand in hybrid cars but also a pioneer in exploring new segments and driving the urban SUV trend in the small SUV segment.

In 2023, Toyota actively introduced two new models, the B-segment SUV Yaris Cross, and the Innova Cross MPV. Both models offer hybrid powertrain options for enhanced fuel efficiency.

Kia: 31,897 vehicles

Ranking third among the top five best-selling brands is the Korean automaker Kia with sales of 31,897 vehicles.

Within the Kia product lineup, the A-segment SUV Sonet achieves the highest sales volume. In the past 10 months, Kia Sonet has sold 8,808 vehicles in the market.

In addition to its dominant market share, Kia offers the most complete SUV product lineup among all brands, with five models covering various segments and versions.

For mid-range customers, Kia has two models in the small SUV segment for urban areas, Sonet, and Seltos. Both models consistently rank among the top-selling cars each month with remarkable sales figures.

Moreover, to meet the needs of premium customers, Kia offers three more models, namely Sorento, Carnival, and Sportage.

In summary, Kia’s product lineup in Vietnam not only features impressive appearances that align with market trends but also comes with top-of-the-line equipment and advanced technologies in each segment.

Ford: 29,546 vehicles

From the beginning of 2023 until now, Ford Vietnam has sold a total of 29,546 vehicles, securing the fourth position among the top five best-selling brands in 2023.

The ultimate “king of pickup trucks,” Ford Ranger, contributes the most to Ford’s sales with 12,513 vehicles sold in the past 10 months. This number is four times higher than the combined sales of the other four models in the same segment: Mitsubishi Triton, Mazda BT-50, Isuzu D-max, and Toyota Hilux. Ranger currently accounts for over 43% of Ford’s total car sales in the Vietnamese market.

In addition to the Ranger, the Ford Everest SUV also contributes 7,427 units to Ford’s total sales in the past 10 months.

Ford is famously known as an American automaker that specializes in producing muscular SUVs and imposing pickup trucks.

In 2022 and 2023, Ford Vietnam continuously introduced new-generation models, including the New Everest, New Ranger, an updated version of Everest Wildtrak, and the New Ranger Raptor. These models have received high praise from experts and customers alike and consistently rank among the best-selling cars.

Not stopping at product development, Ford Vietnam has also pioneered initiatives to enhance the customer experience and implemented social programs to contribute to sustainable development in the local community.

Mazda: 27,791 vehicles

In the past 10 months, Mazda recorded a total sales volume of 27,791 vehicles. A significant portion of this achievement is attributed to the C-segment CUV Mazda CX-5.

From the beginning of the year until now, a total of 13,031 CX-5 vehicles were delivered to customers. In October, the CX-5 secured the top spot for the third consecutive month in the overall market.

Introduced with an upgraded version in July, Mazda CX-5 has been well-received by users due to its affordable price starting from VND 749 million.

The sales volume of Mazda CX-5 also accounts for nearly half of the SUV/CUV C-segment market share, urging many competitors to adjust their prices for better competition.
