A photo of a red 5-seater car with license plate 60K-054.xx was widely circulated on social media. The car was spotted on National Highway 1, in front of Dong Nai Children’s Hospital (Bien Hoa City). It caught people’s attention because two children, approximately 7-9 years old and wearing school uniforms, were recklessly sticking their heads out of the sunroof. One of the children even sat on the car roof.
Following the photo’s circulation, many individuals expressed their anger and called for strict punishment for the driver. Concerns were also raised about the potential recurrence of such incidents, posing a threat to the safety of both the children and other road users.
Upon receiving the information, the Traffic Police Team of National Highway 1 collaborated with the Police of Ho Nai 3 Commune, Trang Bom District to conduct an investigation.
Subsequent investigation revealed that the driver of the car at the time was Mr. C.T.D (38 years old, residing in Ho Nai 3 Commune, Trang Bom District, Dong Nai Province). On November 29, Mr. D was summoned for questioning by the police. During the interrogation, Mr. D admitted his violation.
The Traffic Police Department of Dong Nai Province issued an administrative fine of 4 million VND and suspended Mr. D’s driver’s license for 2 months due to his act of carrying individuals on the car roof.
