The winning bidder of the blue Land Rover with a price of VND 3 billion has forfeited their deposit and failed to provide enough money to own the vehicle. The authorities have announced that the car will be re-auctioned.
On November 20th, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Thanh Hoa province announced that the winning bidder of the Land Rover with license plate 36B-1771, priced at VND 3 billion, did not provide enough money to own the vehicle and forfeited their deposit.
According to a representative from the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Thanh Hoa province, the winning bidder was Mr. V.N.S (from Thanh Hoa city, Thanh Hoa province). However, after winning the auction, Mr. S did not fulfill his financial obligations.
Under the regulations, the Provincial Environmental Protection Agency of Thanh Hoa province (under the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Thanh Hoa province) will cancel the previous auction results and follow the necessary procedures to re-auction the vehicle.
Earlier, on November 9th, Hoang Duc Auction Company organized the auction of a 5-seater Land Rover car with license plate 36B-1771. The car was manufactured in 2008 and imported from England. It is a liquidated asset of the Provincial Environmental Protection Agency, under the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Thanh Hoa province. The starting price of the vehicle was VND 71 million.
In the first round of bidding, the vehicle received bids of over VND 1 billion. In the second round, there were 17 applicants participating in the auction, and Mr. V.N.S had the highest bid of VND 3 billion. According to the regulations, if the winning bidder does not provide the full amount within 7 days, they will lose the deposit of VND 14 million.
The 2008 Land Rover mentioned above is specifically referred to as the Defender 110. The car is equipped with a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine, producing 122 horsepower and 360Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
