In December 2023, there were multiple “super vip” license plates up for auction in various provinces and cities. Among them were highly sought-after plates like “advancement hall” and “quintuplet” which many people were eagerly waiting for, including plates such as: 30K-567.89; 51K-999.99; 12C-123.45; 22A-222.22.
The auctioning unit recently released the list of license plates that would be up for auction in December 2023. Specifically, on December 6th, there were 389 license plates available for auction. The auction took place from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Of particular note, on December 6th, there was a vip plate with the number 30K-567.89 that went up for auction for the third time. Additionally, there were also some “quadruplet” plates that garnered a lot of attention, such as: 47A-599.99, 51K-822.22, 62A-377.77, 29D-566.66. The auction time for each session remained at 60 minutes per license plate.
Starting from December 16th, the second round of car license plate auctions will commence. This time, the auction time will be reduced to only 30 minutes per license plate in order to save time.
In the event that there is only one registered and qualified participant for the auction, the car license plate will be directly transferred to that individual and no auction will be conducted as currently done. The winner of the auction in this case will receive a notification and a confirmation record. They must confirm the auction record within 120 minutes.
The second auction round will feature a total of 288,668 license plates available for bidding.
Within the list, there are a variety of quintuplet license plates from Hanoi that have garnered significant interest, such as: 30K-666.66; 30K-777.77; 30K-888.88; 30K-999.99; 30L-111.11 (car); 29K-111.11 (truck). In Ho Chi Minh City, there are also several popular license plates, including: 51K-999.99; 51L-111.11; 51L-222.22; 51L-333.33.
According to information from relevant authorities, the first auction round (from September 15th to December 16th) featured over 153,000 available license plates for people to choose from, with nearly 6,000 license plates successfully auctioned off, totaling approximately 700 billion VND in auction value.
