Toyota is a multinational company and the world’s largest car manufacturer. It was established in Japan in 1867. In 1934, Toyota introduced its first car model and quickly became one of the top 10 recognized car brands globally, according to BrandZ.
Toyota Vietnam was established in September 1995 as a joint venture. The initial investment of $89.6 million came from Toyota Motor Corporation (70%), Vietnam Engine and Agricultural Machinery Corporation (VEAM) (20%), and KUO Singapore Pte. Ltd (10%). Toyota has always been the leading car manufacturer in the Vietnamese market, with a production capacity of over 30,000 cars per year.
