In the past, General Motors had concerns that the Pontiac brand might release a sports car that would directly compete with the Chevrolet Corvette. Consequently, the well-known American automaker decided to relinquish its position in the muscle car segment, allowing Pontiac to use the platform utilized by the Chevrolet Camaro.
As a result, the famous Pontiac Firebird muscle car was born. The production of this iconic vehicle continued until 2002.
The second generation of the Pontiac Firebird, which emerged during the late ’60s and early ’70s, was among the most successful generations of this model. It featured a colossal V8 engine with a 7.5-liter displacement, the largest ever produced by General Motors.
Since the disappearance of the Pontiac brand from the global market for over three years, classic Pontiac cars have become highly sought after by collectors worldwide.
Furthermore, some Pontiac cars have undergone restoration and customization. These cars feature upgraded engines and electronic systems, as well as fresh interior and exterior designs. A notable example is the 1970 Pontiac Firebird customized by All Speed Customs based on the owner’s request, named Tom Conkright.
The custom Pontiac Firebird by All Speed Customs is equipped with a massive 7.8-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine. Numerous significant upgrades have been made beneath the hood.
The customized Pontiac Firebird by All Speed Customs features a triple-layered black paint, giving it a rugged and masculine appearance. Additionally, it boasts high-performance aluminum alloy wheels with a diameter of 19 inches in the front and 20 inches in the rear.
The interior of the car has been completely redesigned, featuring double-stitched leather seats, a customized center console, an aluminum dashboard, and metal blank-based door handles.
