The media has been buzzing with constant news about the 2015 Hyundai i20 in recent days. Images of the uncamouflaged new generation Hyundai i20 have been widely circulated on the internet. Hyundai has now officially released the official renderings of the new i20.

The familiar hatchback model is designed at Hyundai’s design center in Russelheim, Germany, applying Hyundai’s “Fluidic Sculpture 2.0” design language. As a result, the new generation Hyundai i20 presents a completely different look compared to the current version.

The 2015 Hyundai i20 boasts a new front end with a distinctive hexagonal grille and redesigned headlights. The longer bonnet gives the new i20 a sportier feel.

The body lines of the new Hyundai i20 are sleeker and more precise. The dark-colored C-pillars add elegance to the side profile of the 2015 Hyundai i20. Despite being less than 4 meters long, the 2015 Hyundai i20 still provides a spacious feel.

The rear of the car features a more premium design with surrounding rear windows and boomerang-shaped taillights. This design resembles its sibling, the Hyundai Veloster.

The 2015 Hyundai i20’s interior has been completely revamped with significantly improved convenience and quality. “Spy shots” reveal that Hyundai has tweaked every detail, from the dashboard and steering wheel to the power window control buttons. The steering wheel and interior color of the 2015 Hyundai i20 bear resemblances to the Grand i10.

Engine options for the 2015 Hyundai i20 are not expected to change much. The car might retain the 1.2-liter Kappa petrol engine with a 5-speed manual transmission, as well as the 1.4-liter petrol engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The two engines produce maximum power outputs of 84 and 100 horsepower, respectively. Lastly, there is a 1.4-liter diesel engine with a maximum power of 90 horsepower.

The new generation Hyundai i20 is set to be officially launched in the Indian market on August 11th. Subsequently, the car may make its debut in the global market at the Paris Motor Show 2014, taking place in October.
