Following a test drive program at the Tochigi Proving Grounds in Japan a few months ago, Honda has commenced production of the e:N1 electric crossover model at its Prachinburi plant in Thailand.
The Honda e:N1 is essentially an electric version of the HR-V. The car is based on Honda’s e:N Architecture F EV platform with front-wheel drive. It is powered by an electric motor with a maximum output of 204 PS and peak torque of 310 Nm, surpassing the 1.5 VTEC Turbo engine found in the HR-V.
During a test drive of the e:N1 crossover, Autoindustriya experts discovered that the vehicle’s handling and user-friendliness were reminiscent of a typical Honda model.
Additional technical specifications for the e:N1 model intended for the ASEAN market have not been disclosed by Honda, but more information regarding this new electric car may be unveiled in the first quarter of 2024. Honda plans to launch the e:N1 electric crossover model during that time.
