Although recently launched, the Hyundai Custin MPV model continues to offer advantages.

Hyundai Custin is a new MPV model that was introduced to the Vietnamese market in September. The car is assembled locally and comes in three versions: Standard, Special, and Premium, with prices of 850 million, 945 million, and 999 million VND respectively.

Customers who purchase the Hyundai Custin Standard and Special versions in December will receive a discount of up to 40 million VND at select dealerships. The Premium version is currently in high demand, so customers will receive a 5 million VND discount and many attractive accessories.

In addition, Custin also benefits from a 50% discount on vehicle registration fees due to its domestic assembly. As a result, customers can save at least 43-50 million VND when registering their vehicles, depending on the version.

The extended discount for the Hyundai Custin has put some pressure on Toyota’s MPV model. By the end of November 2023, Hyundai Custin had successfully delivered 529 vehicles, almost five times the number of Toyota Innova competitors (113 vehicles).

In terms of size and equipment, the Hyundai Custin has significant advantages over the Toyota Innova Cross. The car is developed based on the N3-Platform with dimensions of 4,950 x 1,850 x 1,725 (mm) in length, width, and height respectively, with a long wheelbase of 3,055 mm.

Inside the cabin of the Hyundai Custin, there is a 3-row seating space with 2 business-class seats in the middle. The front seats have full power adjustment, heating, and cooling, while the middle seats can recline up to 135 degrees. Moreover, these 2 business-class seats also feature 10-way power adjustment, heating, cooling, wireless phone charging, and a desk.

This Korean MPV also offers a range of other modern features such as a steering wheel with function buttons/sport shift paddles, digital instrument cluster, 10.4-inch touch screen center display, Vietnamese-developed navigation system, 6-speaker sound system, automatic air conditioning, etc.

The Hyundai Custin in Vietnam is available with two engine options. The first is a 2.0L Turbo GDi petrol engine with a maximum power of 236 horsepower and a maximum torque of 353 Nm. The second is a 1.5L Turbo GDi engine, producing a maximum power of 170 horsepower and a maximum torque of 253 Nm. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

In terms of safety equipment, the car is equipped with several driving assistance features including 6 airbags, a 360-degree panoramic camera, Blind-spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross-traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Assist, adaptive headlights, tire pressure sensors, Lane Following Assist, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Smart Cruise Control, and Driver Attention Warning.
