Recently, the Supreme People’s Procuracy has issued an indictment against former Chairman of V?n Th?nh Phát Group, Truong M? Lan, and 85 other defendants in a case involving V?n Th?nh Phát Group, SCB Bank, and related entities.
Ms. Truong M? Lan is facing charges of embezzlement, bribery, and violating regulations on lending in relation to the activities of credit institutions.
During the investigation, the authorities seized 1,237 real estate properties and 22 assets, including 1 yacht, 2 boats, and 19 cars owned by Ms. Lan. Among these assets are a pair of luxury cars with matching license plates ending in 88, which Ms. Truong M? Lan and her family frequently use. Many people have observed these cars parked in the basement of the Saigon Times Square building in Ho Chi Minh City.
One of the cars, bearing license plate 51A-300.58, is a Rolls-Royce Ghost Series I model. At the time of returning to Vietnam, it was speculated that the car’s value ranged from 10 to 18 billion VND.
Rolls-Royce Ghost Series I is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V12 engine, producing 563 horsepower and 780 Nm of torque. This power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h.
The other Rolls-Royce, with license plate 51A-359.88, belongs to the Phantom Year of the Dragon model. This car is part of a limited edition of 33 units produced specifically for the Chinese market, but there are already 6 units in Vietnam.
At the time of returning to Vietnam, the Rolls-Royce Phantom Year of the Dragon had a price of at least 32 billion VND.
The distinctive feature of this luxury car is the running dragon symbol painted alongside the hand-drawn coachline by the accompanying artist, along with the 7-spoke single-tone wheels in contrasting colors.
Under the hood of the Rolls-Royce Phantom Year of the Dragon is a 6.75-liter V12 engine, which generates a maximum power of 453 horsepower at 5,350 rpm and a peak torque of 720 Nm at 3,500 rpm. This power is delivered through a 6-speed automatic transmission. The maximum speed of the Rolls-Royce Phantom Year of the Dragon version is 250 km/h.
