In today’s car license plate auction on December 22, 2023, license plate enthusiasts and especially high-end individuals were particularly interested because there were many rare and unique license plates to hunt for. One that stood out was the 11A – 111.11 license plate from Cao Bang province.
The reason this license plate is so special is because it has the most number of 1’s, with a total of 7 digits. It will be very difficult to find another license plate with so many 1’s. As a result, many people predicted that the 11A – 111.11 license plate would fetch a high price. However, when the auction took place, many people were shocked to see that within just 11 minutes, this beautiful license plate had already reached a price of over 8 billion VND.
For the majority of the remaining time, there were only nominal bids. At the end of the auction, the highest bid for the 11A – 111.11 license plate from Cao Bang province was 8.78 billion VND. This amount is equivalent to the price of many luxury SUVs like the Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 and Lexus LX600…
According to regulations, the winner of the auction for the 11A – 111.11 license plate must pay the full amount within 15 days from the date of the announcement of the results. This amount is deducted from the deposit (40 million VND), but does not include vehicle registration fees. Therefore, the remaining amount to be paid is 8.74 billion VND. If the deadline is missed, the 11A – 111.11 license plate will be put up for auction again. Of course, the winner of the auction on December 22nd will lose the 40 million VND deposit.
After that, the winner of the license plate auction will have 12 months to register this license plate for their car. If the deadline is missed, this beautiful license plate will be transferred to the registration and vehicle management system, and the winner of the auction will not be refunded the auction amount already paid.
