Recently, car enthusiasts were surprised by the news that Mr. Pham Tran Nhat Minh, also known as Minh “Nhua”, the top supercar player in Vietnam, has sold the Ferrari F8 Tributo that he bought back from his close friend Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong, or Cuong “Dola” for short. Mr. Minh, the owner of Pagani Huayra and McLaren Elva, only owned this supercar for 8 months.

When did the car return to Vietnam?
On the afternoon of May 10, 2020, Cuong “Dola” shared images of his car in his newly built villa and announced the arrival of the Ferrari F8 Tributo, which he had ordered 6 months prior. This announcement surprised many car enthusiasts and his friends.
Just 3 weeks later, Cuong “Dola” was seen cruising around with his Ferrari F8 Tributo, right after completing the registration procedures. The license plate number was 51H-307.37. At the time, this was the first and only Ferrari F8 Tributo imported into the country. It took another 5 months for the second car to appear.
How many owners has the Ferrari F8 Tributo had?
Although the Ferrari F8 Tributo has been in Vietnam since May 2020, it has only had 2 owners. Cuong “Dola” sold the supercar exactly 3 years after he bought it, and the buyer was Minh “Nhua”. Minh “Nhua” only had the chance to experience the Ferrari F8 Tributo for less than 100 kilometers before selling it.
Interestingly, the person whom Minh “Nhua” sold the Ferrari F8 Tributo to was present during the coffee meeting when he bought the car from Cuong “Dola”.
Furthermore, after nearly 4 years in Vietnam, the Ferrari F8 Tributo has only traveled 3,775 kilometers. This information was provided by the luxury car showroom in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, when they bought the car back from Minh “Nhua”.
On average, this supercar only travels about 85 kilometers per month, which is relatively low. However, it is important to note that the Ferrari F8 Tributo, once owned by Cuong “Dola” and Minh “Nhua”, was the first Ferrari F8 imported into Vietnam almost 4 years ago.
Furthermore, it was revealed that the company that bought Minh “Nhua”‘s Ferrari F8 Tributo had purchased it with an official warranty package, and interestingly, the buyer was Cuong “Dola” himself. This indicates the difference in the way these two supercar enthusiasts play and take care of their cars. With such a history, it is not surprising that someone quickly acquired this Ferrari F8 Tributo supercar.
What makes the Ferrari F8 Tributo so desirable?
After Cuong “Dola” sold his Ferrari F8 Tributo to Minh “Nhua”, it was later sold to a person described as “a bridge to a new design language”. This car was created to replace the Ferrari 488 GTB supercar and inherits many design elements and internal features from the high-performance Ferrari 488 Pista. One unique feature of the Ferrari F8 Tributo is the S-Duct air vent, inspired by Formula 1 cars like the Ferrari 488 Pista. The S-Duct air vent on the Ferrari F8 Tributo has been redesigned by the Italian supercar manufacturer to increase downforce by an additional 15% compared to its predecessor, the 488 GTB.
In terms of appearance, if the hood of the Ferrari 458 Italia is smooth and the Ferrari 488 GTB has two small air vents, the Ferrari F8 Tributo features a huge air vent that helps dissipate heat and improve aerodynamics. The engine compartment lid of Cuong “Dola”‘s Ferrari F8 Tributo is made of Lexan glass and has additional vents for improved cooling. This design detail allows users to see the engine block inside and is reminiscent of the iconic F40 by Ferrari.
The changes in the Ferrari F8 Tributo compared to the Ferrari 488 GTB mainly involve the doors, the central control cluster, and the new multifunction steering wheel. Additionally, the Ferrari F8 Tributo has an additional 7-inch touchscreen and the Human Machine Interface (HMI) user interface in front of the passenger seat.
The Ferrari F8 Tributo continues to use the familiar 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which is also used in its predecessor, the Ferrari 488 GTB. This powerful engine generates a maximum output of 710 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 770 Nm at 3,250 rpm. These figures are similar to those of the Ferrari 488 Pista supercar.
Although both the Ferrari F8 Tributo and the Ferrari 488 GTB feature a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, the new “war horse” in Cuong “Dola”‘s garage has 49 more horsepower and 10 more Nm of torque than its predecessor.
The Italian supercar manufacturer claims that the Ferrari F8 Tributo can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds. Within 4.9 seconds, it can reach a speed of 200 km/h. The Ferrari F8 Tributo has a top speed of up to 340 km/h, which is 10 km/h faster than the Ferrari 488 GTB.
