BMW i8 available for purchase, priced at 2.5 billion VND

From 2015 to 2018, the BMW i8 was one of the most desired luxury sports car models among the elite class in Vietnam. It was considered a phenomenon in the Vietnamese car market. Although the BMW i8 has lost its popularity among Vietnamese billionaires in recent years, it still holds a special place in people’s hearts.

Recently, a used BMW i8 has appeared in the market, surprising many people with its price. According to the seller, this BMW i8 was produced in 2014, model 2015, and has a mileage of over 30,000 km. The asking price is 2,499 billion VND.

When it was imported as a personal import, the 2015 BMW i8 had a selling price of about 7 billion VND (including on-road costs). Therefore, after nearly 10 years of use, this BMW i8 is being sold at a loss of over 4 billion VND.

Since 2018, no BMW i8 has been imported into Vietnam due to strict regulations on car imports imposed by Decree 116. BMW has also confirmed the discontinuation of the BMW i8 model.

This 2015 BMW i8 comes in a blue color scheme combined with black and white. The BMW i8 is a hybrid sports car that follows the BMW i LifeDrive design philosophy. BMW claims that it takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge the lithium-ion battery pack of the i8 using regular power sources. However, with the BMW I Wallbox fast charger, the charging time is reduced to only 2 hours.

The BMW i8 boasts an impressive fuel consumption rate of only 2.1 liters/100 km, equivalent to 47.6 km per liter. When the gasoline runs out, the car can run on electricity for an additional 35 km, with a maximum speed of 120 km/h.
