Volvo also presented the Polestar Electric Roadster Concept at the Singapore Car Exhibition 2024. Previously known as the O2 Concept, this car is set to be officially launched in 2026. Currently, it is in the pre-production stage.

There are only 2 vehicles of this model in existence, and this specific one is named Sky Blue. When it hits the market, the Polestar Electric Roadster Concept will be formally called the Polestar 6 and will have a starting price of $200,000, with only 500 units available.

This convertible 2+2 model possesses a futuristic design and unique “Thor’s Hammer” split headlights. The elongated U-shaped taillights feature yellow accents, and the car’s distinctive feature is its fully retractable glass roof.

This vehicle is also equipped with side-view cameras to enhance aerodynamics. The video stream is displayed on a small screen located at the front corner of the door.

However, due to safety and regulatory requirements in numerous countries, it is likely that the commercial version will still include traditional rearview mirrors.

In line with Polestar’s commitment to being environmentally friendly, all software components within the car’s interior are made from what the company calls “single materials,” which enables easier recycling processes and reduces energy consumption.

The cabin also features a 15-inch vertical touchscreen infotainment display, complemented by a small digital instrument cluster and a rotary knob on the center console. The overall design exudes a minimalist and modern aesthetic without appearing monotonous.

Powering the vehicle are two electric motors that collectively generate an output of 884 horsepower, enabling a theoretical 0-60 mph acceleration time of 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. Additionally, the car boasts an 800 Volt architecture and an expected range of over 300 miles.
