Honda CR-V and Honda City have been awarded the prestigious “Car of the Year” titles at the Car Awards 2023 ceremony. The Honda CR-V was honored in the overall market, while the Honda City received the award in the Crossover C segment.
VnExpress organized the “Car of the Year 2023” awards, a professional program that recognizes outstanding car models launched in the Vietnamese market during 2023. The awards were judged by a panel of experts, including journalists, driving instructors, product researchers, technical experts, and independent judges.
In highly competitive segments, Honda Vietnam (HVN) was awarded the “Car of the Year” titles for their two new models launched in 2023 – the Honda CR-V in the Crossover C segment and the Honda City in the Low-Floor B segment. The Honda CR-V, with the highest score, also received the prestigious “Car of the Year” title in the overall market for 2023. The evaluation process aimed to select models that meet the current needs of Vietnamese customers, reflect global automotive trends, and anticipate future consumer demands.
These awards signify the trust of customers and the recognition of the Quality Expert Council for the exceptional quality of Honda’s models. They further affirm HVN’s commitment to providing high-quality products that cater to their customers’ needs.
Honda CR-V
The 6th generation Honda CR-V, introduced by HVN in October 2023, is available with two engine options: Hybrid and conventional gasoline. It offers a powerful performance combined with fuel efficiency and comprehensive enhancements for an entirely new customer experience. It retains notable characteristics such as “Superior Sport Performance – Advanced Technology – Maximum Convenience and Comfort”.

To align with the Vietnamese government and Honda Motor’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, HVN introduced the e:HEV RS Hybrid engine for the Vietnamese market for the first time. The all-new Honda CR-V’s environmentally friendly Hybrid system combines two electric motors with a 2.0L internal combustion engine, generating a maximum output of 204 Hp (152 kW). This ensures superior and smooth performance, delivering an exhilarating driving experience.

Honda City
The 5th generation Honda City, officially launched in the Vietnamese market in July 2023, introduces a more athletic and safer sedan with a sportier and more distinctive design. The exterior boasts aggressive lines, giving it a dynamic appearance. It is equipped with new alloy wheels and luxurious leather interiors (RS, L).
It offers enhanced safety with advanced features such as the Honda SENSING safety driving support system, applied to all versions, and modern convenience with the superior Honda CONNECT communication system available in the RS version.
